Same here. I like short over Jenkins as well. There were a few games that Jenkins got pushed around. One in particular was against Alabama. It doesn't seem to jive with how any describe Jenkins as immovable. He did have a good senior bowl week however, and showed how he is too much for 1 OL to take on. I like short's laterally agility and ability to penetrate and collapse the pocket better. He would be my choice over Jenkins...however, I can't decide between short and Jesse Williams. I like them both where we are currently drafting.

Banks is definitely growing on me... he's not the short area/COD guy that they generally target, but he's a player with length, ball skills, playmaking ability and upside so he's rising up my list.

Something is off with Lemonier, can't put my finger on it yet. Great athlete though.

Below is what i wrote about Lemonier over the weekend...

I just gave Lemonier a good look... his speed and athleticism really pop on tape, kid can get up the field in a hurry, can really get on his man quick and bend off the edge and pressure from the outside... he players with a good motor and shows effort in pursuit, though he can overrun plays, fail to breakdown in space and is inconsistent in his burst off the snap... seems to give his best effort on 3rd down/passing situations (can be one of the last DL's to move).  While he has some bullrush ability, he's not a power player (IMO) and doesn't look like a kid who will consistently set the edge as a DE... in fact he was overwhelmed at the POA multiple times... def looks better suited to kick outside to LB with some looks as a 9 tech in rush packages.  Def looks at his best when asked to get up the field.

His production in 2012 (5.5 sacks, which represented all of his TFL) really dropped off from the 9.5 sack / 13.5 TFL 2011 season.  IMO, he projects as a kid that teams could view as that Bruce Irvin type, 3rd down pass rush specialist early on because he has a lot of natural ability in that area.  Prob a Day 2 kid with Rd 1 upside, due to said potential off the edge.

So I showed up at work today in my NFL Combine licensed flourescent green tanktop, spandex and cleats... HR wasn't amused.  They also weren't impressed with the 40 that I ran down the hallway.

    hilarious :)

Though I'm certain my 40 time was better than Rich Eisen's, ha.

    still got your youthful wheels?

That's a good question... curious of what my actual 40 time would be, ha.

I really need to give Short a longer look... guess I've been discouraged by the consistent reports around his motor/effort... these same reports talk about his big time ability to make plays behind the LOS, but I can't get away from the effort piece.

The talent is definitely there... I also think that he would give BB the versatility to play outside in a 34... DE in a 43 and kick insided as well in a 43 in pass rushing subpackages... he's also a very good run defender.

Its a very good write up. I think he's just one of these guys that catches my eye because of his athleticism but seems to rarely be "the Guy" making the play. I don't think he has much power either. At times he'll come quick off the line and one he's engaged it's like he stops short. Not sure if I am explaining myself well.

    WR- TJ Moe- Missouri

    LB/FB- Zach Boren- OSU

of your additions, the one guy i know and also on my list is banks

Banks was my favorite CB I checked out so far

Its a very good write up. I think he's just one of these guys that catches my eye because of his athleticism but seems to rarely be "the Guy" making the play. I don't think he has much power either. At times he'll come quick off the line and one he's engaged it's like he stops short. Not sure if I am explaining myself well.

I agree, the production (at least this year) doesn't match the ability and I think power is the biggest weakness to his game... not very strong at the POA at this point, at least as a DE and he looked a bit top heavy in shorts and a tanktop with a huge pillowy upper body while lookin relatively lean in the lower half.

Prefer short over jenkins myself. FOrget what game it was but Jenkins was getting pushed all around sideways.

Nice to see you add schwenke.

Still a bunch of those guys I have not looked at yet. Thanks for the update.

I really need to give Short a longer look... guess I've been discouraged by the consistent reports around his motor/effort... these same reports talk about his big time ability to make plays behind the LOS, but I can't get away from the effort piece.

I thought I heard someone on TV (I think it was in the Senior Bowl) say that Short was hampered by an ankle issue during the middle third of the season. I loved him early in the season, but when I checked again his numbers at the end, I thought he ended up having disappointing stats. Then I was on him again after his performance at the Senior Bowl, especially when I heard that comment on the ankle.

Late first or early second is a fair assessment. And I am not sure if he's better than Sylvester Williams. I just think those two are different types of DT vs. Jesse (or were asked to do differently).

He also checked in at 299, which is down 9 pounds from the Senior Bowl... it's getting to the point where he's getting a bit light for what BB generally likes in his interior DT's.

Agree, Top 40-50 is prob fair.
