Teams seem to take the WR's I like right after NE picks...

Jarvis Landry in Rd 2... Ellington in Rd 4.

Did something happen to Mort?  He seems a little off and I'm not aware of any medical issues.

Starting to sink in that the Pats were a year early on drafting wrs ...

Not able to take advantage of one of this drafts recognized major strengths .

Conversely  - TE / Safety is weak .

Is Brock Vareen worth a flyer at the end of this round ?

Anybody got other safeties in mind ?

BB doesn't draft into the strengths of any draft. For some reason he just never has and usually avoids strength positions

I've had similar thoughts, draft (2) in a weak WR class and so far none in this one, though there is still some talent available there.

Yes, I think Vereen is worth a Rd 4... I also like LSU's Craig Loston & VT's Antone Exum in Rd 4.  Telvin could also be that Kam Chancellor type.

Like that pick, finally an OC that can hold up against big DTs.  Not sure he'll start day 1 but adds depth at OC and OG while he learns the system.  Not sexy at all but a good pick IMO

I like hi size. I'm just miffed how most others had him rated 7th round, but here we are at 4th.

I really like EXUM's physical play

    but ...

Heard he may have control issues  - Here's a typical report on him

    Weaknesses
Average short-area quickness and leaping ability. Technique needs to be coached up. Not natural commanding the back end and making coverage adjustments vs. complex schemes. Likes to do things his own way -- confidence borders on arrogance and could rub some people the wrong way.

I should say that I also like NC States Dontae Johnson as a S/CB prospect... 6-2 200, triangle #s.

Yeah, IDK, don't really have any insight into his off the field stuff... the staff would need to be comfortable with that.

Thoughts on adding a luxury Rb pick ?

    De'Anthony Thomas

( End of 4th round seems a bit rich )

Hard to ignore potential for Instant O  ...

but does he even fit on Pats ?

He's prob more of an "OW" (Offensive Weapon... heard this coined yesteray), IMO... that could also give you some production in the return game.  Definite big play ability.
