Colts fans are clinging to this one, let them have it.  History will sort it out, and I'm confident Brady will come out on top.

In a nutshell, you can't go wrong with either picks.

Pats fans have their opinion as do Colts fans, the rest of the country is simply where they place the most emphasis, stats or rings.

    Re: All-Decade: Tom or Peyton?

Can't be Manning for the simple fact he is the only Super Bowl winning QB to play his entire career at home indoors. There should be an asterisk after his career stats just because he never played home games in the wind, snow or rain like Brady, Montana, Elway, Favre, and Marino had to. Heck the guy even learned to play in the Louisiana Superdome as a kid and only played home games outdoors while at Tennessee. Call Manning what he is - the greatest dome quarterback ever whose playoff record in outdoor stadiums is abysmal. My vote goes to Brady, a guy who won more playoff games and Super Bowls over the decade than Manning while playing in the elements and with less talented receivers/running backs year after year. Brady made the most of his opportunities!

    welly,

Your points are well taken as another basis to compare these two QBs, but, they won't change current history.  It is what it is.  Given that Brady and the Pats compiled a 14 -3 playoff record in which most of their games were played outside while the Colts are 7 - 8 when most of their games may have been dome games speaks loudly of who is the better QB regardless of conditions.  We can always wonder what their stats would be like if they reversed locations.

Brady has to be #1 . Unless Manning wins a unlikely Superbowl this year even the patriot haters dont have an argument.

    Tom Brady 3 SB's 2 SB MVP 16-0 season

Peyton, 1 gift wrapped superbowl against the bears lololol
    and 1 tanked perfect season

I would take rothlisberger over manning anyday, the colts are a soft dome team

    Re: All-Decade: Tom or Peyton?

Manning played the entire decade and Brady did not. It is not Manning's fault that he played his career indoors. Both will be in the HOF and both are great but this is not an obvious Brady choice like some of you are saying. The Patriots went 11-5 on a year that Brady was out. I doubt the Colts could ever come close to that if Manning was out of an entire year.

    Re: All-Decade: Tom or Peyton?

    Marcus,

"The Pats would still be good without Brady and the Colts would be a terrible team without Manning"

I hear this argument all the time and it's ridiculous.  Even if you ignore that the Pats came off an undefeated season where they went to the SB before Matt's 11-5 season to miss the playoffs.  There is no way to know how good the Colts would be without Manning, there is no way to know how the Pats would be without Brady.  Can we say for sure that the Pats wouldn't have gone undefeated again in 2008 with Brady?  We have no Idea, we might as well argue over whether mickey mouse could beat up Superman.

The Colts would still have Addai, Wayne, Freeney, Clark, and one of the best defenses in the NFL.  Yes, since 2005 the Colts have had the 2nd, 23rd, 1st, and 7th ranked defenses, that is better than the Pats every year except one.  A backup QB would still comlete 55-65% of passes like every other QB in the NFL.  They probably wouldn't be as good but they would probably just lose 4, 5, or 6 more games a year.  Maybe not, we'll never know, but that team has a lot of talent on it.

Brady has four Super Bowl appearences, Three Rings to Manning's
one trick pony. maybe you can argue Mannning stat-wise, but it's all
    about winning the championship, right?
Come on Brady, bring it all home again to close the decade out!

Hey, it's 2010, a NEW year and a new perspective!  What hasn't changed though, is Brady has the edge...

Here's an interesting Q..  who do we think will be the QB of the 10's decade?

Matt Ryan, Teboe (sic?), McIlroy, Big Ben.... who is the NEXT Brady/Manning?

Brady versus Manning is like Hollywood versus back woods redneck...purely an observation on the personal style aspect.

Manning might have more physical abilities, but Brady appears to have the strategy, and mental acumen (see above for details) than Manning. I don't believe he would excel under Belichicks system as much as Brady has.
