Any chance getting Josh Gordon or Phil Taylor

It would seem as though the Browns have giving up on 2013...any chance NE can dial old friend Lombardi and see if we can get in on the movement.

I don`t think so, Browns will draft a QB with their first draft pick, so they want to have good weapons around him.

Phil Taylor won't come cheap in trade nor what he wants in his next deal, he may well be worth it though.

No that ship sank. This is about snagging a QB next spring.

+1 Phil Taylor next to Wilfork with Kelly as a backup/rush role would provide a great interior rush and make this D truely dangerous. Well worth a 2nd or conditional 1st

Is it just me that's having a serious case of deja vu?

Seriously though, they're dealing Richardson to give themselves additional ammo to get Bridgewater or another top college QB. I doubt they did this to deal for Mallet.

I understand that. Mallet and a 3rd would be fair IMO.  Mallet could be a cheap insurance policy. I'd hope he's better then hoyer.

i wish the browns were really having a fire sale and would be willing to part with phil taylor and d'qwell jackson both would be worth trading for.

it's rare to see a potential star be traded during the season. Then again he wasn't stellar in Clev and a 1st is a pretty good deal if they want ammo to move up for Bridgewater.

hasnt anyone been watching? Taylor will want to be paid for future potential production. BB doesnt pay for that type of player unless they are current Pats.

Taylor yes, another WR? No, Michael Jenkins is the only WR the Pats will bring in if the rookies can't go not named Stallworth or Branch.

I would love to get Gordon. 6'3 and had good production for a rook....especially for the browns anemic O. Perfect fit IMO.

I don't think we'll be getting any help from Taylor or Gordon. Especially Taylor. Why would Lombardi trade an important piece to his rebuilding effort? For mallet? Just dont see it happening.

But if he brings him in he'll have almost a full season under his belt at that point. Plenty of time to see what he can do in the system.

Re: Any chance getting Josh Gordon or Phil Taylor

Agree Eng...but why would Lombardi want to trade a key piece to his rebuilding effort? He must know there is no way the browns do anything significant this year. And, they are primed for 2 frst round selections next where they can get their QB of the future plus another key piece. Seems like Lombardi is in a position of trade strength here, and I don't think bb likes dealing in those situations. It's not like Lombardi is al Davis.
