The Pats already have 3 number  2's to go with their number 1 in 2010.

2010 will probably be an uncapped year. 2011 will either be locked out or if an agreement is reached there will be a rookie salary scale. So a early first rounder in 2011 is a fantastic pick for Seymour.

It's definitely the labor situation.  2011 could have a rookie cap, meaning that a top pick like the Raider's (hopefully) won't get paid ridiculous money like they do now.

2010 will most likely be an uncapped year.  Can you imagine trying to sign a high pick when they know there is no salary cap?  Expect total chaos next year.  The draft picks, FA's, and guys who have outperformed their current contracts will all know there will likely be one, and only one uncapped year.  Everyone will be trying to break the bank in 2010.

I guess its more the reason the pats should try and sign,or trade there remaining big names with a year left on there contracts.if they cant get a player signed,or dont attend to,get what you can now.
