Because of his good hands, shiftiness and speed, Vereen seems like a natural. Of course, BB likes more experienced guys back there; still, I was wondering if Welker got hurt, who would assume punt return duty?

According to the Cal website he only returned punts 2 times in his junior year. He also returned kicks, but only in his junior year.

Dunno, but this is where it would've been interesting to have Demps around if BB had chosen him to be able to come of IR.
