Are The Sanders & Edelman Deals Connected ?

Nothing that happens in Foxboro is random ...

Can't help but think that today's wr signings were timed .

Was BB making sure that the Steelers didn't retaliate for the Sanders offer by making a pitch for Edelman ?

    Hmmmmm.

I think thats a stretch without actual knowledge of it, but who knows. More likely they felt comfortable making the offer to Sanders after waiting it out and seeing no other takers. Called around to try to guage the Steelers interest and after hearing they may match the offer because of losing Wallace, the Pats may have just signed Edleman for insurance. To be honest I dont think there is really a market for Edleman. He took months before being invited by the Gmen and they most likely offered vet. minimum as a shot in the dark and he returned to do biz with the only other team he knows. Its looking like Pitt may match and we may have to draft a rook.
