    Back Alley Cheatball Returns

Concerning the non call at the Pats vs. Carolina game and all other pro games in America. Gronkowski was held when the ball was in the air.  Otherwise, he could have competed for the ball which was thrown far enough.  Penalty, plain and simple.  Sportsmanship by the athletes is so low the refs are apathetic or have adjusted their calls because there is so much cheating by the players.  There is not fair competition.  Except for seeing your home team, why bother watching if all it has become is cheating.

The truth would have set Clete Blakeman free, but he chose to go into denial about overturning the call! He actually believes there was no penalty on the play because a defender wound up intercepting the ball, in believing that he had to eliminate two other fouls that were committed before the interference while the ball was in the air, first one being illegal contact beyond the allowable 5 yard area, secondly holding on Kuechly. It's a shame to watch them lie and then swear to it, this isn't in the spirit of competition, this is fixing the outcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shame on the refereeing crew you are an embarrassment to your profession! Oh by the way how much money did you guy's make for the call/non call???????? Hope the hookers the Panthers give you in return for your bogus BS call are all infected with an STD.

[/QUOTE]I understand your frustration, but your last paragraph, aside from being funny, is too drastic, even tho' I know you probably didn't mean it.  The real answer is to make the players and the officials accountable for their actions.  Also the fans need to decide if they want to watch a farce or real sports.  Although, some people find getting away with cheating to be sporting.  That is a sickness that is no good for society.  What if everybody lied all the time to each other?  Our country would go right down the drain.  Also, "Let them play" is nothing but cheatball.
