    BB vs TD

when the Pats break camp with one or more JAG special teamers on the linebacker depth chart and Jeremy Gallon is off returning kicks in the CFL, then we will be certain that Bill Belichick is in total agreement with beleaguered Tony Dungy about the political football that is Michael Sam - the difference, one of them kept their mouth shut about it

You can look at this thing a bunch of ways - yours being one - but the truth is Sam doesn't have enough talent to warrant the distraction. If you are the type of team that likes being in the news for non football related subjects, then you draft Sam, but if you're not you don't draft a guy that couldn't even put up 18 reps in the bench press...never mind run. What's he going to give you? He's not strong enough to play against right tackles and he isn't athletic enough to play in space. Now maybe I'm wrong, he may be a lunch pale sack master, getting 12 sacks a year on hustle, leverage and technique, but you can say the same for 40 other marginal prospects who may or may not make it.

    ---------------

regardless of his SEC accolades, his combine results certainly raised some concern about his ability to make the jump to the NFL -- his progress at the Ram's training camp will shed further light on his possible value

I posted some interesting ( or not ) draft info wrt other past SEC DPoY recipients in the other Dungy thread
