huh?  Obviously he's the GM, coach, and at the top of each department in the organization.  He's got assistants high up in the tree to assist with contracts (Floyd Reese?), etc...but yeah, he's essentially the Oracle.

It's been argued that perhaps at times, BB the GM has hung BB the coach out to dry.

Re: Belichick's Job Titles In NE

The thought that he's not the GM is plain stupid.  He was always the GM even when Pioli was here.  He gave Pioli all the responsibilities of the GM and even created a certain title for him.  Ultimately though, he made the final call.

I think he worked pretty well with Pioli...although 2005 and 2006 were personnel disasters.  Both he and Pioli screwed the pooch those years.

Well, Pezzy is trying to tell us in another thread that we don't have a GM in this organization and never did, and that Pioli told BB what to do, with Caserio doing the same, as they hold titles that don't say "General Manager".

Can you imagine the level of mental illness do go through these lengths to try to not answer a simple question I asked him?
Once again you lie and twist to suit your agenda.

The FACT is, the Patriots do not have a titled GM.

If you knew anything about the Pat's you would know that they are not big on titles.  MANY in the organization wear different hats and BB is one of them but you cannot win the Award for EXECUTIVE of the year when you don't actually hold the title of an EXECUTIVE, which is why when the Pat's did win, the AWARD WAS given to PIOLI and not BB.

While BB and PIOLI/CASERIO work hand and hand and BB ultimately has final say, there is NO organizational title for this executive position and the award is given to the next in line EXECUTIVE.  Is that so hard for you to understand?

I did answer your question, oh feeble minded one, PIOLI  (the GM) was given the award in 2010 for the Chiefs because he essentially turned around the organization for that year and the voters , who are essentially the HEAD COACHES, felt he was more deserving than CASERIO!

Please show me one year where BB won this award or STFU.  Case closed!

I am the one who told you that, dummy.

In fact, you JUST posted the titles on there and said there isn't a GM listed as if that means anything!  Why post the titles if that is the backbone of your case as to why you're trying to prove BB isn't the GM, hence why he should NEVER be considered for executive of the year?

    LOL!

Enjoy backing yourself into the embarrassment corner, do ya?

Anyone can read what you wrote, Pezzy. You have mental illness beyond belief.

Please tell us how a GM, like Bill Polian, or anyone else is not an "executive"?

If BB is ABOVE Pioli on the ladder and Pioli is an executive, then how can BB NOT be an "executive" as General Manager above Pioli? The fact is, BB has always been listed as "Head Coach and General Manager" since 2000.

Please share with us your lovely and sane rationale for this, where you say other GMs can win the award, but because of how NE lists their titles, BB cannot.

    Thanks,

    Normal People

God you are stupid.  You told me nothing.

BB does not hold an EXECUTIVE position, period.  He holds a coaching position.

Do you even know the difference?

Apparently the award IS about titles because the award is given to the EXECUTIVE and not the head coach.

Again, please list the years that BB won the award.  Thanks!

    Exhibit A for Pezzy:

GM of the NY Giants? Jerry Reese.

GM of the Packers? Ted Thompson.

He won "Executive of the Year" in 2007. Reese finished 2nd. Pioli, mysteriously 3rd.

So GMs with that title DO win Executive of the Year. LIAR
Again you are soooooo stupid.  THE GM position is an executive position.  The award is given to the GM  UNLESS the team doesn't have one, in that case it is given to the VPPP.

Really, is this too hard for you?

Are you telling us BB only holds the coaching position here? Are you seriously this far off the deep end, trying this badly to get some kind of footing back here after series of bludgeonings, that you just said he is "only the coach here in NE"?

Are you disputing this?  If so, explain to all of us why BB has never won the EXECUTIVE of the year award.

C'mon, crusty, list the years BB won the award.  Go ahead, do it!

Explain why PIOLI won it in 03, 04,and 2010 and not BB.

Because he's a moron.   What is the point of a Pats fan wildly cheering on the idea their HOF coach and GM has different rules applied to him so obviously?

It's beyond bizarre that the Brady Ballwashers love Brady as much as they do and literally hate BB as much as they do. It's sick.

Brady WOULD NOT BE HERE without BB drafting him!

well to be fair its not like BB was salivating over brady. he got very lucky that brady turned out so great considering he was a 6th round pick. BB is a great coach, but i do think he lucked out on brady.

What does that mean?  What rules?  Who hates BB? We've won a whole lot of regular season games the last few years.  I don't think there is any doubt as to how good he is, even with the entire 2009 draft looking like a miss, he made up for it in 2011.

Of course they had no idea he'd be that good, but BB sent Grier into Lousiana to work out Rattay and to Ann Arbor to work out Brady. So, it's clear he was targeted. BB explained this in the Brady 6, too.

That's a fact.    BB was hired in early 2000 and also was the GM since then. It's not like he was asleep during the draft with others making decisions for him.

This theory or premise that somehow magically, BB left the Jets at the altar to have a mirage here as a GM is a joke.  Enough of it already.

well the defense has been improving, so hopefully those criticizing BB for his drafting/personell decisions, will back off of him a bit.

I don't recall Belichick having any GMing experience prior to NE.  No owner is going to hire a guy and give him the keys without some time working with an experienced group of management personnel around him.

You're a troll. 3 or 4 posts, so aggressive and vocal out of the gate?  Who are you?

You're also flat out WRONG.  Kraft KNEW he had his GM of the future after speaking with BB.

Did you watch Cleveland '95 A Football Life or have you read any of the Pats based books (Management Secrets of the Pats: Vol 1 or 2, Education of a Coach, Patriot Reign)?

Just who do you think is architect of how to build a team in the cap era?
Knowing you have the GM of the future is not the same thing as throwing him into the fire on day one.

Did you just ask who hates BB? LOL!

Excellent troll work, about 3-4 posts in.  Do you think he made up for it in 2010, too? That's how this ridiculous deflection attempted by Pezzy started. Apparently, our GM and his sidekicks (Caseri/Reese) weren't up for Executive of the Year after an incredible draft, lockiing down HUGE contracts with Brady, Wilfork, Mankins and Mayo into a lockout, dealing Maroney and Moss, starting 4 rookies on D and going 14-2.

Gee, BB shouldn't get an Executive of the Year award because of how they list his underling's titles. My god.

    What a pathetic statement.
Why did you ask me what you copied into your own post?  It's right there, if you were unsure, you could just go back and look at it. If you are unsure about what fans hate a GM who's won as much as him, start a post asking who hates Belichick.
