What's ironic is that most threads on these boards actually look like this. Was this just a cut and paste job.

Same old Benny. He gets one run for 29 yards through no merit of his own.... and averages 3.4 ypc for his other 10 runs.

His well under 4 ypc is constant, except every few games he has a long run to boost the average. He is exactly the kind of guy BB doesn't want as his lead back.
It's almost like it wasn't Benny at all who made that 29 yard run, maybe it was a clone, isn't that his WEAKNESS that he doesn't make long runs... until he makes them, and then it's no thanks to him.

You Pass Happy contingent would deny that the sky is blue if it conflicted with your agenda that running is unnecessary and running Benny more in our not so distant past would have actually helped.

Benny with Brady under center is still a great offense and Benny is still better than 32 year old Anwoine Smith which was good enough to win a ring.  Running the football helps make your offense more efficient. Period.

You guys would be funny if you weren't so tragic...

Oh yeah and Mayo is really terrible, all his peers that voted him to an All Pro team were wrong.

That's it.  Some don't get it.  Brady in the shotgun is Brady overriding common sense.  Establish the run which leads to PA.  Stay with the run throughout the game and you get the kind of balance that makes the other team's defense unsure what is coming.

    Simple really.
Don't step on my posts with your anti-Brady agenda either, we wouldn't be here if not for the boy wonder, plus his wife is a billionaire Brazilian model, you just sound silly.

Brady with a running game is the answer, Brady is not the problem, he's part of the solution.

But I did just beat up the Texans on Madden, even under the influence so the real thing shouldnt be a problem if we channel our inner Charlie Weis, throw to the open man, conservative approach and smash them...

Couldn't agree with the OP more...most important drive of the season and they hand it off to him on first down...stuffed for a loss...killed the drive. He had two nice runs that were blocked perfectly early in the game. He also had other runs that were blocked very well and he got next to nothing.

Ben Jarvus Green Ellis is the reason why we didn't run the ball more in the Super Bowl last year - he's the reason...nothing else.

Capt is good, Sailor Jerry might be better but there's a micro brew rum called Kilo Kai that is fantastic.  If you want to drink rum over ice, it's the best thing in the world next to Habana Club 12 yr (the best), Mount Gay 1703 or Flor De Cana (18-21 yr).

Like a player has any control over how many snaps his coach hands to him... it's the coordinator's job to make the offense go.  Perhaps if the Bengals and the Pat's used what got them there in the first place their season may not have ended the way it did.

So I guess Benny was screwed by not only one, but two teams? So Belichick is the first guy that screwed up and now Lewis? Did you ever think that maybe...just maybe, a guy that gets stuffed on two pass plays and the biggest run of the year is making his OWN case for why he is not getting the ball?

I wouldn't exactly call Jay Gruden a good OC.  BB also didn't "screw over" BJGE. Brady has a shotgun spread preference.

It's a huge mistake by Cincy to run him so little if he is their lead back just as it was for Brady to want Woodhead in shotgun spread formations, not running BJGE. The difference was Cincy has an excuse because they were trailing. We had a lead.
