Best Chance for N.E. to win Super Bowl and AFC Championship: Denver, Seattle, S.F. and N.O. are Loaded, Loaded, Loaded.

    Might Look like this:

sign britt to 1 year incentive laden contrat.

    release wilfork.

wiht the savings sign jareed allen to something like 4 years 32 mil 16 guranteed (not likely to see the end of it unless he's ageless and keeps performing) or whatever it will take.

draft the best available tight end, 2 dt's, 2 o lineman, another cover lb and a safety.

shout out to all y'all on bdc. Hope you're treating your life good (and everyone in it-including yourself) and it's treating you good.

ps nice to see bb doing many of the things (except for hiring the best coaches in the league and yet to see if he allows other smart people to weigh in equally in the draft esp in bb weak areas like defensive backfield and wr) have been crying for for 4 years. a few only for example: getting effective big tough press man corners, doing what it takes to get the talent needed to  take a realsitic shot at the sb while brady still has something left (we should have had one more sb already but for not having top coaches [ie o.c] and gettign the few extra studs to put us over the top- even with the gronk injury.)

There's no doubt the SF, Denver and Seattle are loaded.  The Saints still have issues and they would have to get by SF and Seattle anyway and I don't think that's going to happen.

The Pats are trying to get to where they can catch Denver and that might be done.  Talib and Ware are very injury prone.  I don't expect them to be healthy when the bell rings.  The Pats picking up those DBs will go a long way.

Our TE position isn't good at all.  You can't depend on Gronk or at least I'm not going to.  The Pats draft so low it's hard to find impact players where the Pats draft at and they need some at TE and DE.  OL are easy to find in the lower rounds.  Maybe some DTs.  Then you have the Wilfork situation.

    hey garytx,

i agree on talib and ware and injury prone, but i dont knwo if id stake a risk on not getting the brass ring becasue i hoped talib and or ware got hurt during the year. ye si agree on the te and de pass rusher need which is why id like to drop fork and get allen.

whoever wins of sf, sea and n.o. i think wil be tough in a sb.                                                         peace

there have been a handful of people who want better coaches.  BB is a control maniac - so, it's expected. At least he is taking chances on defense this off-season - or does that credit belong elsewhere?

without a pass rush (fa or draft), the money will be wasted on revis and browner (and lafell).  the other needs are still there (dt, o line, another cover lb and a safety), but a pass rush is needed and one pass rusher will not do it. we have the press cover men, the other half is at least 2 legit pass rushers.

what are yoru thoughts on need in order to have the best chance against these top teams, especially given the arm tied behind our back with the coaches we have.

Best chance for the Pats to win the SB = Stay healthy, play consistently and play their best in the playoffs. All the opponents they face in the playoffs will be tough games.  It is more about how the Pats play than anything else.

In the past few years, the Pats have not played their best games in the playoffs.  If the team can change that tendancy, we could see ring # 6 for BB and ring # 4 for TB.

You mean no one wants to share a recipe for winning afc championship and the super bowl.

remember manning was throwing "practice" with a "red shirt" that day. yeah i know we had injuries. so did they. and our injured players are not pass rushers.
