    Best D to beat Phins

If yall could assemble the strongest line up to face the phins what would it be?

                            BTC, Brace, Fork, Cunningham
                        Guyton                Spikes        Mayo
       McCourty               Bmerri                Chung                    Arrington

Play two deep, double Marshall over the top typicall Tampa 2
Rotate Gerrard Warren for Cunningham and play Fork @ DE in the jumbo offset line pkg.

    whos got another option?

    To All Patriot Fans:

Since the Pats were caught cheating they have not won anything.

It proves the point that the 3 superbowls they stole by 3 points are as tainted as Barry Bond's homerun record. The odd's makers give the home team a 3 point advantage, how much would you give a team who knows your defensive play calls.

Tom Brady is a just above average QB who knew if there were a blitz, which way it was coming from and if a Defensive Back was coming. The QB position is alot harder when you have to earn it. He had 50 TD's the last year they cheated and it was the last year The Cheatriots dominated the East. Sounds alot like Barry Bond doesn't it?

In a real football purist eyes the Cheatriots have no true Suberbowl Wins

Moron from the past....you give BB more credit than he  deserves.  He really IS a defensive genious if he could figure out where a blitz is going to come from in advance. Meanwhile every other team, during those Patriot glory years, was knocking the snot out of your losing fish. Luckily you had Buffalo to build up your confidence.

Seems like we gotta have a safety over top of Marshall, he's looked good on the deep ball.  And I think we need to use a 3-4 cause of Miami's big run blocking O-line.

But your headline is right.  The best D in the league is about to beat the $h!* out of the Fins this monday.

If the offense can put up 40 points this week it will be ok for the Pats defense to be average again (gulp)! Lets hope Woodhead and BJGE have a great day, oh and Gronk, Hernandez and some old guy named Moss! Tongue out

Re: Best D to beat Phins

I would give it a shot, but if you watched the Jets game, they ran a defense like that (with one extra corner instead of two ends) on the second drive of the second half.

Spikes was basically embarrassed by Keller. Anthony Fasano will be a monster.

It is a personnel problem NE has. The way they would have dealt with it was bringing in an extra safety, but Sanders has played so poorly it is hard to figure.

Re: Best D to beat Phins

    Mighty is correct.

NE's best bet is to stick with 34 and roll a safety over to Marshall. And bring another up to help pick up Fasano and cover the run. That puts the onus on McCourty to lock up Hartline in man-to-man most of the time.

Anything less leaves them too exposed to the Fins runners.

They'll find it during their layover in Baltimore. If they think they can find a D in a week's time, they are out of their fu cking minds.
