No link or anything. It's being floated around on an ESPN Boston article but apparently a lot of people are hearing it so maybe it's from local radio or something.

I heard its Tom Brady for 8 1st rd draft picks....revis, JJ Watt, and Barry Sanders.
But that could just be speculation.

Looks like he (Taylor) was PUPed last season which I guess is why he only played in 8 games.

Another scenario has the Browns trading a defensive lineman for Mallett. Tony Grossi of ESPN Radio in Cleveland believes the free-agent signing of Desmond Bryant would allow the Browns to shop Phil Taylor orAhtyba Rubin in a package deal for Mallett. It's true that Patriots coach Bill Belichick collects defensive linemen like many people hoard bobbleheads. And, while the Browns would prefer to unload Rubin and his $6 million salary this year, Taylor is the more valuable commodity.

It may seem obvious, but fellow 330-plus-pound defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin had a case to play nose, as well. Rubin will likely be a mammoth "five technique" in the Red Bryant mold. Taylor, 25 in April, came off PUP in Week 9 this past season to close strong, grading out positively as a run defender per Pro Football Focus' ratings. Taylor was also a 3-4 nose tackle at Baylor.

When people were talking Mallet trade wasn't a large part of it based on Cassell coming to backup? Cassell is signed wih the Vikings and Hoyer is 2nd round tendered by the Cards. Who would backup if Mallet is traded?

I would guess the Browns 3rd rounder is also involved seeing how BB may be giving up the Pats 3rd for Sanders.

Whatever happens. Looks like the Patriots are going to have an awesome DL this year.
Imagine we do get these 2 players from the Browns. We sign Freeney and Abraham.
Then we lock up Talib and sign Wilson.
Sign Sanders.
We haven't even touched on draft picks by then! Wow. I have a feeling we'll all be saying "Wes who?" very shortly.
