In response to Godvernment's comment:
would anyone be in favor of this hypothetical scenario???
Arizona receives:
- QB Ryan Mallett
- WR Brandon Lloyd
- 2013 1st round pick
- 2014 1st round pick
- another 2nd or 3rd round pick
New England receives:
- Larry Fitzgerald
- 2013 5th round pick
- 2013 6th round pick (from Titans)
- One or two more late picks in 2014

Our defense would be crap for even more years.

No...too rich...not 2 1sts. I would do mallett, Lloyd, and our 3rd this year. That should be enough. fitzgerald is great, but I am not signing up for a Herschel walker type fleece job, and I doubt bb does as well.

Why do you guys overvalue a WRs importance on a team? Oline,Dline, and QB are easily the three most important areas. Our Dline needs to be worked on first.
Why wasn't Rodgers in the Super Bowl with his 4 very good Wrs? Because their oline couldn't protect and their Dline couldn't get pressure.

Fitz is good but this offense does not need to give up 2 1's & 2 2's plus a large contract to score points. I have Mallet rated as a 2nd.
Please no

Would be fun to see a receiver of that caliber but I don't think I'd be ok with trading 2 firsts for any player in the league.

Not after they lost Cullen Jenkins and their defense went from top 5 to bottom 5

I would be very hesitant to give up a first for him too.

Terrible trade. I don't think BB would trade 1 1st for Fitz.

Maybe, but cough,in is probably still fuming at bb because he sto.e Ballard out from under him. Cruz is tendered with a first. Seems a bit rich, but he is also going to demand a big contract. I like the fitz angle better if it didn't cost us the farm and if fitz would restructure. How many slot receivers do we need if we added Cruz?

In response to NoMorePensionLooting's comment:
I would guess the Browns 3rd rounder is also involved seeing how BB may be giving up the Pats 3rd for Sanders.
Now this would make sense. I can't see BB giving up a 3rd and only having a 1st, 2nd, and 3 7ths. Getting Clev's 3rd and then getting Sanders would make much more sense.

Rodgers receivers have been just as good as they were when they won the Super Bowl. The Dline got worse.
How many times have we seen an offense torch the league only to get stifled in the playoffs?
There are just too many ways to beat a receiver:
1. Coverage
2. Pressure on the QB
3. Confuse the QB
Bottom two of which are completely out of the receivers hands. Much harder to take a good olineman or dlineman out of the game than it is a Wr
Giving up 2 first round picks when we have a shaky defense already is way too risky.
I'd rather see the offense take a step back and the defense take two steps forward than to see the offense take two steps forward and the defense stay the same or go backwards

Also, trading Fitz will leave Arizona with a lot of dead money.
Trade doesnt make much sense for them either

I would trade Mallet for Taylor. We need a young space eating DT next to VW. I doubt cle would give a 3rd too though. i think Sanders is in for leverage against Lloyd to resructure. No f-ing way we give up a 3rd for a scrub receiver with potential.

Mallett for Phil Taylor plus browns 3rd rounder makes sense. Taylor and vw would be a load in the middle. I was a bit shaky on Taylor when he was drafted, but he has actually done quite well less missing time with injury.

Are you considering sanders a scrub receiver?

And a 3rd rounder?
Taylor was a first rounder the same year Mallett was a third. I havent seen much of Taylor...But I would be surprised if his value dropped that much or Mallett's went up.
I would be content with Taylor for Mallett straight up. 3rd rounder for Sanders. Resign Talib.
First rounder, best player available...or maybe interior lineman

I wanted Phil Taylor in the draft so naturally I'd still want him. My only two question would be why the Browns would give up on a productive 25yr old kid unless they are worried about that ankle and is Taylor and Vince enough to generate pressure up the middle? The one thing about Taylor was he was a better gap plugger then a pocket pusher. Mallett for Taylor though I would take in a heart beat, toss in their 3rd and that turns into Sanders and Taylor for Mallett, now that's a deal
