So far only mistakes and penalties stop Buffalo offense.  Not looking good.

Our  D  is  an  embarassment.  But  hey, Belichik  is  a  defensive  genius.  If  the  PATS  play  like  this  against  the  Texans  and  49  ers  they  are  gonna  get  spanked.

Time to bring in free agents off the street.  No way they can be any worse the the crap we have as our back 7.

Funny how Spikes disappeared this game.

D flat out embarrasing.  But, hey, we're running the ball.

Yessir. We need to stick with that 2.75 yards a carry. Just keep feeding the rock to that garbage result so we can say we're balanced.

kansas is that you sayinig this?

    he better listen

it's fkn terrible. the defense had 2 good series, got the turnover, but have fizzled since. the coaches need to learn to adjust in the first half, not the second half, on both sides of the ball.

    But he doesn't.

The secondary has been the lone bright-spot. The LB's look dazed and confused -- they're at the root of the issues we're having today.

Bills:  10 penalties for 119 yards... and we lead by 7

Without those penalites the Bills would big time.

Pats are being outplayed in every phase except penalties.   I don't get it..how can they look like they just don't wanna play today??   They're playing very soft today

This game is in jepardy big time ... and we really NEED this game...where's the sense of urgencey??

Gotta question the character of the 2012 NEP.... no fire !!

    By Mike Reiss | ESPNBoston.com

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Sharing some thoughts from halftime of the Patriots’ game against the Bills, with New England leading 24-17:

It’s a close game, even though it doesn’t feel like it. The Patriots seemed to be in command, but the Bills’ offense came to life in the second quarter.

Some concern for the Patriots on defense that they couldn’t slow the Bills down – tight end Scott Chandler hurt them down the seam and tackling in the running game was shaky (Dont’a Hightower didn’t wrap up Fred Jackson on a TD run).

It was 10-0 after the first quarter, and things looks good for the Patriots at that point. They started fast coming off their bye -- a stop on the Bills’ opening drive, followed by a 13-play drive that culminated in a field goal, then a turnover deep in Bills’ territory that set up a touchdown.

That’s the way you like to start a game, and it helped that the Bills shot themselves in the foot with penalties.

Bill Leavy’s officiating crew is calling it tight, but the Bills seemed to get the short end of the stick on one important call. The pass interference penalty in the end zone which set up the Patriots’ touchdown to go up 24-10, looked like a gift for the Patriots (Brandon Lloyd appeared to trip on TV replays).

Tight end Rob Gronkowski had a bloody elbow after his touchdown catch in the second quarter, but it doesn’t seem serious.

Overall, there were more good things than bad for the Patriots, but the feeling at halftime is that they had a chance to create more separation but couldn’t come up with the defensive stops to do so.

The Patriots get the ball to open the second half.

Andrew Luck is sitting at home licking his chops.  What's the rookie record for passing yards in a game?  Next week it gets broken.

The linebackers have been absolutely embarrassing..no doubt, but have you seen McCourty back there? Guy is going to go through one hell of a learning curve...

Bills passing is an elite+ 123 PR against our D, and they are running on it for 5.9 yac.

Does defense get any more pitiful than that?
