Let's make sure that, when looking at history, we look at it ALL. Brady doesn't and hasn't won three Super Bowls all on his own. Just, since 2005, he and the team have been "lacking" in achieving this goal.

Why don't we wait until he makes History this Sunday by passing Joe Montana with the most playoff wins in the HISTORY of the sport! Then we can sit back and wait until his career is done before passing judgement on where is stands.

Hmmmm.... playoff wins....... only "playoff wins".......Means nothing unless it equates to SB championships. Otherwise, it's a simple case of playing 16 games to see what 12 teams go to the playoffs (For you mathmatically challenged fans out there, that is 37.5% yearly go to the post season. For those STILL not understanding, that means over 1/3 of all teams go to the playoffs. And, like the NHL, and NBA, eventually this will be a reverse number when only 37.5% WON'T go.)
I seem to recall a couple of years ago when we'd debate playoffs with folks like JESTS!, Colts, Steelers, and Broke Back fans, they'd continually point out the lame division the Pats play in. We all, including me, rushed in saying they only play the games they have scheduled, they're in teh division, so deal with it, etc. Even with 10 "gimmies" on schedule year in and year out, it all came down to winning the division. Then along comes the Seahawks, won their division (went 6-0 in fact), and made the playoffs with a 7-9 record. Then, a LOT of you got incredulous. Tried to move the bar for qualification to include "must have a winning record" (I guess that even 8-8 wasn't good enough), to "must have winning record vs other conference qualifiers", and we even had a short term poster that actually advocated for making qualification being the playoff qualifiers MUST have a win total equal to the average of the top 6 qualifiers (of course after all NFL tiebreakers have been determined). The NFL rule is plain and simple: ALL division winners will advance.
Question: Who is the MLB all-time leader in post season HR's? (NOT a trick question). If you say Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson, or anyone NY, you need to take a refresher course in Paying Attention. The correct answer is that All Universe, HOF bound, Can't Wait Till He Gets In..... Manny Ramierez, with 29. Only 2 WS champiinships (from the Wild Card position), with a lot of post season games played. Does this get him elevated in greatness over The Mick? Ruth? Gehrig? The number says he does. Can't deny the number! And that's with only 8 of 32 MLB teams making the postseason (26.6% for those keeping track).
More? How abiut career post season games played? Numbers 1-3: Jeter, Posada, and Bernie Williams. Think there is any connection to this stat and expanded playoffs? The more you play, the more you have an opportunity to win. (Team actual play will win the games, I'll be the first to say.) One can say that in today's game, the QB is the most highly protected species since the North American Bison. Montana? Hardly. In fact, you'll find better overall defences in the 80's.
Postseason wins a relevent stat? I'd rather have it than NOT have it. Ah, but let's look at SB wins, which equates to overall success and achievement. Sort of like all those glitzy, gaudy, and glamorous numbers Mario tossed up there for a career. Yet, only 1 SB game, and a loss. Is his career diminished? How about Elway until his last two seasons?
Playoff wins is a nice number, but there's more to greatness than that stat.
