He has been facing very hard differences as of late. I agree though, the offense as a whole has been off and Brady is certainly guilty of that.

    Re: BRADY ISSUES?

We just played one of the best defenses in the NFL. The Jets and Cowboys also have good defenses. The Pats just had a streak of 30 point games stopped and now Brady stinks. Let's trade him for Carson Palmer. Unbelievable.

    Re: BRADY ISSUES?

Brady was 24-35 with 2 touchdowns and no picks and he had a passer rating of over 100 today against a great defense that got a lot of pressure on him. Other than the bomb to Price (which was open) I thought Brady played well. They had no running game and the Steelers had a great game plan which only worked because they got a lot of pressure. In fact I was happy Brady threw the ball away on several occasiones today instead of forcing it, which he had been doing a lot lately.

    Re: BRADY ISSUES?

Every time Tom sarts having a bad game he goes into a funk and just sits on the sideline. No communication with the OC or his players or getting fired up. BB needs to sit him for a series and let him view what's going on from the sideline. O'Brien completely shut down the run. BJGE has best runs going to the right side...O'Brien constantly has him going to the left. Why not trap Woodley as he's going full blast up field? Anyone seen a screen play of any type with all of Pitt's bliztzing? How about finding some college reject or arean player who can get separation??  Obvious Ocho doesn't have it. I know, I'm no BB, but doing the same things all game long without significant progress SHOULD prompt change.

    Re: BRADY ISSUES?

The defense is total garbage, the offensive line missed assingments, and the pass catchers struggled to shed man coverage.  And yes, Tom was a little off his game.  But he's hardly the reason the Pats lost.  Hardly.

WR's can't consistely beat man coverage which is sad. Those are the breaks when you waste a bunch of money on a guy you thought would be productive but can't beat anyone 1 on 1.

You mean it wasn't the fact that we held the ball for 40 minutes?  It wasn't the fact that you couldn't stop us on third down?  It wasn't that your best RB averaged less than 2 yards a touch?  It was Tommy Boy his 2 TDs and rating of 100?  Wow!  You are just a sad group of people.  This team is nothing without Tom Brady... you may be nothing with Tom Brady.

Brady had is usual bad game of the year. Wont happen again.
But, this D is not getting better. They are getting worse. Keep cutting good players BB! This team is going nowhere in the playoffs but will finish with one of the BEST records in the NFL. No doubt...

In Response to Re: BRADY ISSUES? : 12 attempts is ABANDON. Faulk is no power runner. BJGE will bust through when given enough shots at it. Especially with 10 on the line...spread that across the field with our useless no separation receivers and one good block gets BJGE a huge field to barrel down. The OC is a mindless bum.

Dude. They didn't abadon the run until it was 23-10 with 20 minutes left in the game. In that last stretch they also outgained all the yardage they had the previous 40 minutes.

Before that they ran it 10 times to 12 passes.

And no. Running into an eight man box against Pitt wouldn't work. It didn't today. You need to clear those people out of the box first. The only way to to do that is to make them pay by showing that if they leave only one person deep, they'll get burned.

That strategy is as old as the forward pass. IF they stack the line, PA pass deep.

NE can't do that when their best WR is a slot guy. And they didn't really even try to do it today outside of one deep pass to Ocho where he looked like he was confused as to which team he was on.

    Re: BRADY ISSUES?

Tom played okay.  He missed some throws, but that happens every game.  Pittsburg was owning the O-Line, which no one seems to want to bring up.  4 false starts?  Embarassing on their part.  If you listen to great quarterbacks, they all say the same thing "we need to get in rhythm."  Having the ball so little kept them from getting into any comfort zone, because they knew every time they had it they HAD to score.

Tom played decent against a great defense.  Pats force ONE MEANINGFUL PUNT the ENTIRE game, we might be singing a different tune as fans.

Anyone calling out Brady is being completely spoiled by how amazing the dude has been for a decade.  Mistake-free football getting only 17 points is on that dumpster fire of a defense.
