Brady leaves field at practice today today.

    1h

Tom Brady took a shot to left knee in team drills. Down on the field for a second, limps off gingerly with trainer.....

    1h

Brady is back on the field for one play but is clearly concerned about his left knee, same one as ACL in 2008. Cones off after 1 throw

    1h

Brady doesn't appear to be wearing a brace on that knee, the same one that ended his 2008 season. He's back in now

    1h

Tom Brady now leaves the field after consultation w/ head athletic trainer Jim Whalen, Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels.

    1h

Brady has completed all three passes since getting hurt but he's disappeared to the bubble with trainer Jim Whalen. Left knee or ankle.

    3m

Brady leaving practice after conferring with Belichick and McDaniels. Wise move

On the play where Tom Brady remained down, if was a sideline pass to Aaron Dobson that was incomplete. Didn't see any contact w/ Brady.

Well, it's pretty simple. If he is hurt badly, our season is toast. Hope he is ok.

Wow....Why doesnt he have the brace on? I recall him saying he would never take it off....Hopefully we caught a break. no pun intended

Tom Brady left Wednesday's joint practice with the Bucs after tweaking his left knee.

We're only posting because the news is sure to generate undue panic. Per the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud, Brady stayed in to complete a few more passes before departing. Perhaps Brady will miss a practice or two, but it almost certainly won't be a major issue. Few players are more adept at playing through pain. - roto

For what it's worth, Berj Najarian, Belichick's right-hand man, doesn't look concerned, hasn't left field

Well hopefully he is ok. The good news is this probably means he wont play in the game against the Bucs this week and their hard hitting D. Maybe we can finally see what Mallett can do with the first team.

    I think it's all a ruse.

Gives Tebow a birthday present and TB leaves for the Early Bird Special (and I don't mean dinner) with GB.

Nate Solder got pushed back into Brady and rolled up on him.

That fan can probably get some good cash if he sells the video right now... fast!

First Mallett gets hurt in the first pre-season game, then Brady hurts his knee on Tebow's Birthday . . . so God really does want Tebow to be our starter!

Serious . . . this shows that the Pats really need to pick up a veteran QB to be the 53rd man on the roster . . . start looking who gets cut and/or who we can talk out of retirement . . . Flutie would be a better option than Tebow!

Word is that Mallet has not looked good in camp, probably wouldn't be a starter on any other team around the league.

You're a troll. Didn't you hear that the Browns GM wanted to trade the 6th pick for Mallett?

    Geeezzzzzzzz....I'm having chest pains!

Perhaps Brady feels he throws better without the brace. Sometimes the brace doesn't interfere with the leg movement but it's always on your mind as you know it's there.

Mallett simply needs to play. He looks like he knows the right call, has the right throw, he simply looks like a guy who hasn't played much...rusty. Put the kid in and leave him in, play him the whole game Friday night.
