    Brady needs a break.... When??

Brady's numbers, and effectiveness, have definitely declined since the news came out about his multiple injuries.  Even though the team will not admit the extent of them, his play against Buffalo did not look like that of a QB that is "dinged", he is hurt and is gutting through it.  If the Pats win Sunday against the Jags, and in turn clinch the division with no worse than a 4th seed, is it worth it to rest Brady in week 17?  He needs to be much healthier for the playoffs, otherwise, the Pats could be one and done.

    THOUGHTS?

if the pats win this sunday,i hope they do rest all the starters in the final game.the way the pats have been playing this year.it really dosent matter if they are a three seed or four seed.between brady,s injuries and the o-line some rest wouldnt hurt.for they wont get a bye week in the playoffs.

If we win this week, and Brady needs a break he'll probably get one.  With Miami and the Jets two behind, a win makes a lot of things possible.

If they loose and the Dolphins and Jets also loose then Brady may still get a game to heal.

If they loose and Miami/NY wins, then no break. Pretty simple really...

Our defense has kept offenses to 10 points the last two games.  That needs to continue too.

#2 seed is still not out of the question (per the other post). it doesn't come down just to how we play, but if the chargers lose in nashville and against oakland then its still possible if we can manage to win out. might still need a little more divine intervention with cincy.  if the #2 seed is still an option after next sunday, i'd definitely take that over a week 17 sitting of brady.

The Chargers arent going to lose two games in a row.
Better to get Brady, Welker and Moss some rest. They are too hurt to make a deep run in the playoffs. The 3rd or 4th seed is not important, since the bye week is out of the question. They will host a playoff game anyway.  For us to have a chance, Brady needs to play like he did against the Colts and the Titans.

If NE wins against JAX this Sunday then Brady & Co.  needs to rest.  Houston will likely still be fighting for a playoff spot.  We do not need TB taking hits in a game that is not really important. I'm with Spetznaz24.  The 3rd or 4th seed doesnt really matter.  NE just needs to be ready for whomever they play.  Healthy.

Rest him in week 17 if the Chargers beat the Titans.

You might rest him anyway because the Redskins never going to beat the Charers in week 17 and you'd know this if you watched the disaster that took place tonight in the D.C. area with the Giants embarrassing the 'Skins.

So in short, use week 17 as a "bye" of sorts.  Hopefully Miami takes care of Houston so they're out of contention - then you might be able to get a win out of the deal anyway.

By all accounts, many agree, a win this Sunday against the Jags, Brady rests.  Why would BB risk him in a meaningless game?

I think there is absolutely no way we rest Brady or any of them for the entire game. this team still needs all the game experience it can get before playoff time. Brady and co. can rest when they retire. The window is closing. Go Pats.

Yeah he's pretty beat up. We need 1 more win and he can rest, if not he'll get a break in the offseason. Gotta love football
