I agree but not so much because of marshall or homes but because all the teams the Pats are playing next year have a good running game and Butler is not good in run support so IMO we need to add a bigger guy who can come out of his coverage and do some run support.

Re: Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins

I think the bigger question is will BB be aggressive to get better now by trade...either picks for players you can use...or picks for players you can't.  I think we need to move Adalius, Light, and maybe koppens(if we get pouncy in round #1).  Get something for these guys...even if it is a little less than you feel they are "worth"...if you can improve the team by replacing them.  Imagine the O-line with vollmer, mankins, pouncy, Neal, and veldheer, with Kazur in the rotation...

Now pick up a couple of players that can help.  Get Olsen for a low second or 3rd(have to trade for it or go 4th and 6th and 7th etc).  Sign TO to help out...or not...but bring in TALENT...and talent that can excel now ...and hopefully in the future as well.  Have trouble getting pass rushers due to demand...pick up a DT/DE in the 3-4...and pick up a CB and ILB instead.  Now maybe we shut down the run entirely, and improve the secondary until the front 7 can get there.  Kind of like the Red Sox.  if the big bopper wasn't there for the right value...improve Pitching and defense.

By improving the OL, DL, ILB, and CB....maybe we can grind them into oblivion on the offensive side, and force them to dink and dunk at a high percentage to move the ball...

Decent move by the phins. Really wanted marshall even with all his problems and at a fairly good price as well. should give Henne a nice target

I wasn't like the Pats had any 2nd rounders to give up????? come on we're standing still and the Jest and Fin's are improving.

Great move by the Dolphins.  The best player available at their biggest need position.

Fairly good price?  He is going to cost more than Moss, for 5+ years and he is 1 strike away from being suspended.....the guy is a walking time bomb.

Good, the guys a worse headcase then T.O. They just better have someone tail him the entire time and make sure he doesn't make someone angry in Miami clubs.

I don't think CB is the right answer to the Jets and Phins getting new WR's. We have decent CB's we just need a pass rush. Don't forget BB likes to attack the weak spot in their strength. If WR is now the strength then he goes after the weak QB and takes the WR's out of the equation. IMO, it's now more important then ever to grab a pass rushing specialist at #22, not a OL, WR, RB, or CB but an actual pass rusher. This will help out or secondary infinitely more then getting a new CB. Even the best CB's will eventually lose if the QB is given enough time to throw the ball.

Edit: Need coffee before trying to spell

Im finally convinced that BB has me worried about what team he plans to bring into the 2010 season....Great Move by Miami.  I dont know what BB plans to do.  If I was a betting man, my guess would be nothing.  But if he plans on bringing what he put out last year, then we are in for a long season.

If Denver got 2 #2's that's a pretty good deal for them. I'll wait till this one is in stone. Adam Schefter has been wrong before. At least that's what sources tell me.

similar to holmes and cromartie, there was no chance that marshall would have ended up on the pats, but i still wish he didnt land in the division, just like those guys. and just like those guys, i think marshall will be an impact player in the short term on the field, although in the long term he will most likely impload (but parcells never worries about the long term because he wont be around).

no question the division just got tougher yet again. and i wouldnt be surprised if haynesworth ends up on either the jets or the dolphins. this division is kind of turning into the AL East...
