If Brady goes down the season is over.

Matt Cassel had a whole season to learn on the fly and he improved every week. Remember the Steeler game week 13? Cassel had 2 picks and 2 or 3 fumbles. In the next 4 games he had 8 TDs 1 Int and NO fumbles.

Brian Hoyer is as much an unknown as Cassel was, although he looked much better in preseason games than Cassel did, but with only 5 games left in the season, he wouldn't have enough game time experience to take the Patriots anywhere in the playoffs.

    Re: Brian Hoyer

I remember the Giants won a Super Bowl back in the eighties when Phil Sims went down right before the playoffs. Now if this happened to us we would be screwed, because the Giants had a dominant defense and we do not. They also had a very strong running game and ours is not at that level, but I do like Hoyer and think he could come into this offense and do allright.
