Seventh round? Sure.  That's kind of what you do with those picks--take chances.

That size/speed combo is just freakish, but I'd still prefer getting him as an UDFA, if possible. And I think trying to make him an OL would be easier than making him a DL. A project for sure, but if he was the second coming of Stephen Neal, we'd all be happy with that.

He wants to play QB and throw the football.

He talks about being a DE in this article Nomad

It's a small joke, him being a discus thrower. Think long ball.

Yep, but the article also says he weighs 284, versus 304 in the first article. At 284, DE is probably his best chance.

If he can pick up Ridley and throw him 10 yards downfield I'm in.

For a 7th why not? Most late round 7th's are essentially UDFA's that you just want to make sure they sign with your team anyways. If he's got high potential grab him before someone else can whisper in his ear.

Wow, that dude is built like a brick sh!thouse... assuming he passes drug testing, I don't see the downside to take a flier on him in Rd 7.

Agreed.  Especially with the need for some depth on the DL, this could be a nice get.  Remember Stephen Neal didn't play a down of college football and ended up having a tremendous career here in NE.  Such an athlete would be a good get at the end of the draft.

look at it this way: if a receiver jukes one of ur cb/s and catches a long bomb, a rb breaks free in the open field or a returner is gone heading to the endzone this guy can whip out the discus and take him out from 70 yards away

Are there any Olympic javelin thrower available then?

    Re: British Discus Thrower

It's always a risk, he's got crazy skills that can't be taught but can he play? It may be worth the risk of a 7th round pick. Somebody will definitely sign him as a UFA.
