i've been the lone voice all season saying he will not be brought back after the season. does anyone else see the light now? or is there reasoning to bring him back with vereen, demps, ridley, and bolden under contract?
I need more info. Your mind was made up all season? Vereen has one sensational game, Demps you have not seen? Woodhead has been a star in some victories, crucial 1st downs, TDs, blocks, oh never mind ...... as far as the light?Cloud nine gets all the publicity, but cloud eight actually is cheaper, less crowded, and has a better view.

Vereen as a replacement makes sense but if the price is right, I'm sure BB would bring him back. I'd keep him over Bolden.

Ricky, Perhaps your being a 'bit' Stalinist here, you know anyone being a threat to your way of thinking, gets two in the hat? Those peeps on the most part were very good, ya know? The Duma is not controlled here so let's see what popular opinion says ;-)

DONT THINK SO... wait and see...this guy is a game changer... he will be a pat for years to come...
RIDLEY
VAREEN
WOODHEAD
BOLDEN (SPECIAL TEAMS)
DEMPS (KICK AND PUNT RETURNER)
THATS WHY IS GONNA WORK

Good Grief!! The playoffs aren't even over and you are dumping players!!! Amazing the conjecture of some fans on this forum based on hunches and nothing of such sort coming from the team.

Me and Bruschi think he should stay. All Woody has done is make key plays for us all year. He might have been the best player on offense in the SB last year. If Vereen makes good plays on Sunday, and then does the same thing in the SB, I'll join you. Well no, actually I won't. I'll take Woody over Bolden and most definitely take him over an unproven player like Demps. I like Bolden btw. Woody is turning into a good Faulk replacement. Maybe Vereen will be even better. Given how often RB's get injured, it would be nice to keep 2 RB's who can catch and fill that 3rd down back role.

I don't see Woodhead going anywhere. He has been key in certain situations. I don't think Woodhead will be demanding a big contract, he will take a Pats friendly contract to stay.

Woody is a very reliable 3rd down back and he has Brady's trust. A shame he wasn't a little taller, but I think he stays.

If the cost isn't prohibitive he should absolutely be back. They have room for 5 good RBs on the roster. As constituted it's a position of strength.

Woody is also excellent on the special teams!

Woody = Sproles ?
Despite the fact that they're both primarily 3rd down specialists AND both undeniably vertically challenged , they're not of equal value ... IMO .
Sproles is a to-the-house type of scat-back / returner extraordinaire while Woody is more of a cerebral move-the-chains by any means possible type of player - that also excels at understanding pass blocking .
Off the top of my head I'd say he'd be resign-able for something in the neighborhood of 2 years for 3.2 mil ...which would double his current salary
( 2 yrs - 1.6 mil - signing bonus included )
Plus - You have to factor in his yearly playoff earnings by suiting up for the Pats
( not to mention the media exposure he gets by playing here ... endorsements )
I'm fairly confident Woody isn't going anywhere in 2013

Ideally I'd to see someone (Demps) emerge as a return man instead of hoping neither McCourty or Welker get decapitated on a return.

Woody is to (Vereen, Bolden, Rdiley) as Welker is to Edelman. The idea sounds good but the reality is you can count on Woody when there is a lack of consistancey with the young RB's.
Sign Woody for 2 years.

Woody will not be going anywhere. He is can catch, block, and is a very good runner in space. Even with Vereen playing well, Woody has a great role on this team. Plus you know it just eats Rex Ryan up to see him do so well here. That's gotta be worth a lot to BB!

Since the 2010 video of Woody humbly selling gear at Modells, he is a Pat forever in my eyes.
