    Capers' defense

If I'm not mistaken, Dom Capers has molded the Packers' defense into the #1 unit in PPG. Green Bay has the NFL's top-ranked scoring defense (14.5) and Capers is a crafty defensive coordinator with firsthand knowledge of what makes the Patriots' offense tick.

A shame that the PATS couldn't keep him on the coaching staff after 2008.

That 14.5 will assuredly increase after Sunday.

    Re: Capers' defense

The offense we were running in '08 was completely different from what we're running now.

    Re: Capers' defense

Have the Packers played any teams who generally average 17 - 20 pts per game?  If the Packers are giving up only 15 points per game and the teams they play average 20 per game, their D has basically only kept that offense 5 points under their average.  Let's see how they do against a team averaging 32 points per game who has scored in the mid to upper 30's against defenses who also had PPGA averages in the mid teens.  If the Packers D could only keep an opponent 3 - 5 points below their average when they normally score 20, that means the Pats may be hard pressed to break 30?
