I really hate when you have 50 seconds and a fresh set of downs and they just try to get the ball centered on three plays...I can't stand that. I'm not saying they had to throw deep, but a hand off wouldn't of hurt just to get closer...then again that kick would of missed from five yards.

I'd love to know if this was the first time Brady has ever lost or not extended a game due to a missed FG. I can't remember one. Fortunately, for you pats fans its during the reg season and not the playoffs.
Manning had it happen to him twice in the playoffs.

This team is not NEARLY as good as some of the posters on this forum are predicting. I had very little doubt that field goal would go awry, its just the way this game was going. Sloppy play, stupid penalties, this is no shock. Now they have to go to Baltimore. Good luck there.

Pretty stupid coaching today too; offense stunk. Only bright spot was the D, but it wasn't good enough to win the game. They are going to have to SHOW UP from now on. Just pathetic. -

Really pathetic performance. Brady was disinterested until late in the game, Hernandez going down foreshadowing what was to come. Welker with a drop, Lloyd with a drop, Gronk with a few drops. Special teams was nothing special. Offensive line was bad until late. Poor play-calling offensively, poor execution. And then Gostkowski's clunker.
Top it all off with spotty officiating and that's that.
Really bad execution across the board. It's better to lose early, especially against an NFC opponent, but with need to cross our fingers for a Jets loss this afternoon, and hope against hope that Hernandez isn't out too long. I struggle to think of a good outcome going into Baltimore for a Sunday night game with no Hernandez.
The lone bright-spot was the defense, which is more than can be said for last year. I'd rather have a strong defense and a faulty offense than the other way around. Bodes well for the playoffs.
Gotta work some magic and bounce back.
