    Interesting study. The one QB that surprised for not being higher up on the list was Joe Montana. Even more astounding was the fact that Roger Staubach didn't make the list - but his weak-kneed successor, Danny White did.

    What is not surprising is that the current QB's with the best records play for teams with defenses that are generally known as being good.  While many with worse records played on teams with D's generally known as not being good. 

    The more I see stats like these, the more convinced that a team is better off with an average QB and a great defense than vice versa.  

    Defense does win championships.
