    Cassell.....maybe he's not an option?

ESPN's Adam Schefter expects Matt Cassel to be "on the Cardinals' radar," and to draw interest from other teams.

Weak-armed and inaccurate, Cassel would be a terrible fit in Bruce Arians' vertically-minded passing attack, especially considering Arians' aversion to the run game. Cassel has no chance of succeeding in an offense that isn't one of the league's most run heavy. That Arizona would even briefly consider a quarterback who's turned the ball over 30 times in his past 18 games speaks to how uniquely terrible their QB situation has become.

So if Cassel is as bad as your post has suggested, why even consider him as an option?

He was a very good quarterback when he was with the Patriots.  Not sure why he has been so horrible since leaving the Patriots.

    He's a system QB.

He's on the Cardinals radar. Doesn't mean he'll sign there.

why would he want the Pats? Cards, Jets, bills...couldnt he go to any of them and maybe start? How does he re-establish himself sitting behind TB?

He was playing on the most stacked offense in the history of the NFL and he was protected by a top 5 rushing attack.  Plus there was no tape on him and he was receiving top notch coaching.  He had a nice season, but he didn't improve enough with experience to compensate for the inferior talent and coaching once he left NE.

He did have his best season after leaving the Pats. 27 td. 7 int. 93 rating.
