    Choose your fraction

There seem to be several fractions around these parts.

Pick which one you ascribe to. (Don't try to take a hybrid or you will be disqualified.)

    1. 3/8

    2. 9/32

    3. 5/16

    4. 21/64

    I'm in #2, obviously.

Okay, if you HAD to pick one of these, understanding that your actual view might be a combination or somehow not exactly one of the above, what would you choose?

Number 1 has always been good to me.

By the way, this thread has just about the same significance as Babe's.

Totally benign and stupid but I see where you are going with it.

The choices have just as much significance too.

As a Machinist, using Drills and Reamers, I always have the best luck at 3/8. They dont walk so much. Of course on Op Sheets they use .375.

So now we are reduced to having to choose fractions. geesh! well I won't be pigeonholed to a fraction... I believe in using  more  decimal system so I will go with .5625.

I'm not certain why I'm being required to select a Borg designation, but since resistance seems futile, I'll take 3 of 8.

    I don't like larger groups.

sorry PatsEng - Euler's Number, e, is irrational, meaning it cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers (a fraction) and is therefore excluded from consideration Wink

but, why can't I be irrational? I bet I can create a fraction using only irrational numbers that equals e
