I think he would be good depth, He filled in for Brandon Mebane and they didn't have a hugh drop off that I noticed.

Has trouble keeping weight, although he is pretty strong if his bench is any indicator.  The Seahawks, Lions, Giants etc make sense if you're looking for that young castoff because they're all pretty deep at DT.  I like Markus Kuhn from the Giants, he's coming off knee surgery but has good measurable's.  At this point it wouldn't hurt to kick the tires on any of these young guys, at least you'd get a look.

What about DT Austin, just cut by Giants?  Wozzy, your take on him?

I would rather have Clinton McDonald than AJ Francis,he has been in pressure situations, plaued last year and playoffs also.Has the experience.

AJ probably has higher upside and like the other teams/players was caught in a numbers game at Miami - they wanted him on their practice squad.

I was curious about Ta'amu out of Pitt as well.

For what it is worth AJ had the second highest DL grade from pro football focus based on preseason play for the cut players

Pretty interesting site - by position and by team/conference (they have some more insights on the team lists) Not necessarily up to date but gives some idea of preseason performances for the cut players.\
