    Terrible news... Hope he and his family draw strength from one another and get through it.  All the best to his entire family... Football is secondary and us wise@$$ fans are behind him 100%.

    I was sorry to hear this. I really like Chad and despite his lack of making p[lays this year I still hope he resigns next year. I hope he gets right with his family and I hope he comes back and helps us win it all. I hope he has a big game for his dad. I think that that would at least be one good moment for him in a Pats uni.

    That is too bad. He seems like a really emotional guy as well, and is certainly a stand up character, even with his hijinx (which are really just harmless).

    that makes two of us man. I lost my dad in March of this year. I also lost my baby sister back in 2006 to lung cancer. my sympathy goes out to 85 and his family.
