    COY

Been in Jersey all semester and the talk has been Reid, Reid, Reid...and nothing else. Came home last Friday and hit some of the establishments here, and many are saying Coach B has a shot??

I have to put out Arians, Rivera, Kelly on any list. Can Bb win with Brady as QB? Seems Brady = 10 wins automatically especially in such a weak division, no?

Except in 2008 when he got 11 wins with Matt cassel as qb

Right, right, right. That was the year the pats missed the playoffs, correct?

You mean the year the previously 1-15 Dolphins won the division and we missed the playoffs? That year?

So if BB is not COY, shouldn't TB be MVP?

Belicheck is certainly worthy of consideration to suggest otherwise is foolish. Ried probably would have been a lock had his boys not fell off the map in the last 6 weeks. Riviera in Carolina will also garner lots of support.

    Re: COY

BB started the season without Gronk, Welker, Hernandez, Lloyd and Branch. 5 of his most prolific pass catchers the previous season. Then he's had to deal with injuries to Amendola, Boyce, Thompkins, Dobson, Talib, Dennard, Gregory, Cannon, Hooman, Slater, Solder, Vereen and Spikes.

He's also had to deal with the IR of major starters like Gronk, Vollmer, Wilfork, Kelly, Mayo and Wilson.

can any other coach in the NFL possibly say they've had to deal with a similar injury situation as BB? Can any other 11-4 team say they've had 5 top billed players placed on IR?

Exactly... What the NEP is accomplishing now has never been done before. Not even close.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I thought you might have meant a team that didn't lose to every team they played that ended up with a winning record. Well, they did beat the Cards that had already clinched, so there's one, I guess.

Well Belichick is a great coach so he will always be candidate like Bill Walsh or Bill Parcells. With KC's second half slide I don't think Reid is the shoe in he once was. While I personally think Belichick is the best coach in the NFL you can't give the guy the award every year. It's like Michael Jordan and the MVP award in the 90's. No way was Barkley or Malone ever better than Jordan but they like to spread it around. Hasn't BB won it three times already?

Don't forget 2000, when he got 5 wins.
