    The Pats are probably going to run a 4-3 much more this year (i.e. almost exclusively)

    So much for all our speculation about whether Crable was ready to take over at OLB.  So much for our improved and deep LB crew. Thank goodness we went after Burgess.  So long Crable and Lennon.  Let's hope someone good gets waived.  But it will take them time to learn the system.  Good thing the Pats' schedule is easier in the beginning weeks.

    Shawn thinks the IR is the football field. He's spent so much time on it he is an All-pro IRer.

    two years in a row on injured reserve,so for the sake of nunn,the pats should cut this guy,and kept nunn.im sure before its all said,and done.there will be more cuts,possible trades,and signings.the pats just had to get to the 53 limit by the deadline.after that, it gets real crazy.

    I agree moss,  Why are they IRing this waste?  Two years in the league and Two IR stints.  It must have something to do with the Cap.

    If he's on IR he doesn't count against the 53, so wouldn't affect Nunn.

    A player on IR doesn't take up a roster spot, so this had no effect on Nunn.

    So cut Crable and get nothing instead of putting him on IR?  What do they loose by letting him absorb another year of being around the team, see what you have next year?

    If a guy can't play he can't play. Whats the problem? He is hurt and from what it sounds like he is a little bit of a project in the mental department something curable by 2 years of learning the play book in the locker room. Rather have him on IR then costing us points on the field.

    One thing people should remember, We have had more draft picks in the last few years then we can use. We are great at trading out and stock piling but even then you can't use them all right away. Maybe Crable will never play or maybe he starts next year in place of Burgess. Who knows in either case he was drafted because BB likes him. Last I checked BB knows a thing or two about LB talent!

    Previous, previous dude;

    The Patriots drafting with a couple exceptions has been a DISASTER since 2006.  Mike Reiss is sharp but he's a bit too cozy with management.

    Open your eyes.

    Vrabel didn't start a game until his 5th year.I'm not ready to throw the dude under the bus just yet.Either we IR Crable or give him an injury settlement.Since we have to pay him,why not IR him? Not much we can do but hope he's worth the wait.

    What a surprise... didn't see that one coming.

    After all, the Patriots only have a history for the entire decade, that guys who don't fit their system (BUST Picks) ride the IR for a couple of years before being cut.

    Jackson, Scott, and now Crable... a rookie going on IR is bad... A rookie who does back to back IRs is finished, its like the kiss of death with the Patriots.
