Good ole BB trading down in the draft rearing its ugly head again. Cunningham and Brace are not NFL quality, but BB figured he's steal a few players. C'mon, Raji didn't make Brace look way better that his is by taking double teams

    Re: Cunningham and Brace?

When you draft both of them at Number 2, 2009 and 2010, you gotta wonder.  Cunningham showed some promise but he couldn't close the deal on sacks.  He was strictly a rusher.

Brace is ok when he is not injured which seems to be often.

Now you got injury issues with Vollmer, which was a college problem too.

    You gotta wonder.

A couple of different moves (Tate/Mike Wallace) (Addai/Maroney) and who knows, that's all I can say.  Could have been.

    Re: Cunningham and Brace?

Cunningham is fairly cheap at this point and will be at least given the preseason next year to see how he performs. If he does ok, BB will keep him until he feels someone else can fill his role. Cunningham has too much upside considering his cost to not see how he performs in next preseason.

He is making less than half a mil this year and just over half a mil next year. Yeah, he hasn't been Demarcus Ware like all Pats fan expect from every pick they make, but who is going to take his roster spot that has as much potential upside at his price?

Respectfully, I hate what ifs.....it is easy monday night quarterbacking draft picks and trade deals.....but the what ifs are pointless. What if the Pats had lost every game for the past 5 years and got the #1 pick every year. What if Butler played like Revis? What if Spikes was Patrick Willis.....what if, what if, what it.

The draft is a crap shoot folks.....fans gotta realize that. Other than the top 10 players at best, it is really an educated guess at who is going to perform at the NFL level. Yeah, I know......all the Pats picks should turn into All Pro players, but that isn't reality. BB and company makes what they perceive is the best moves based on the best information they have. If you look at the Pats success since BB took over, there really hasn't been a better overall team in the league that has been as consistent. Yeah, it would have been great if they won the SB every year, but it just isn't reality. Neither are what ifs.
