Curb your ENTHUSIASM... somewhat!!

Ok, folks, this PRE-SEASON and team acquisitions have really ramped up the excitement we Pats fans have for the team's prospects for this year.  But, I really cringe when I see a 19 - 0 discussion started or a fan predicts a 19 - 0 season. Having great enthusiasm for the team is one thing, feeling extremely confident they are a true SB contender is fine, too, but, predicting 19 - 0 off of only TWO pre season games!!  Come on folks, lets cool some of that enthusiasm!

All we are doing is fueling the fire of trolls like McCheater, Leon and the like to deride this fan base.  All this does is result in a string of posts that turn into a pi**ing contest between we Pats fans and these out of towners who love to tweak us.  I enjoy great football discussion, but, get totally turned off by the name calling and off topic bantering.  Let's support our team and argue accordingly, but, predicting another possible 19 - 0 season!! Please, curb that enthusiasm, somewhat!

Who cares what trolls from other team sites think or say. I know i certainly don't. Though I will agree beign boysterous makes us no better than a Jet fan, Lets just enjoy each week as they unfold.
One game at a time!  haha I think everyone is curious to see the final product in Week 1, because it appears the weak spots have been addressed on paper. Miami will be an absolute challenge, in my opinion. NE has to be sharp.  Home opener, they'll want revenge, and they are going to try to establish that run early with Thomas and Bush.

I agree, one game at a time and if the Pats win the SB, no one will care about the record!

We're fans. It's not our job to be realistic.

Seems Miami gets "up" more for the Pats, it seems, than any other team.  Given what we have seen this pre-season, and if it holds into the regular season, will QBs have the time for down-field passing?  We were stoked with the possibilities this D showed at times last year with such a young squad.  This year we are salivating. How many times have we gone into such games, with some reservations about how the Pats may do, and the team surprises us and blows the other team away?  Hey, this team has some pieces in place, especially on D, that could eclipse the 2007 team!

    Hey Rusty -

Do you think Daboll is an improvement over Henning in Miami?

Heres a link to Pete Prisco's Miami preview....

here's some news about the meeting with the Lions. From Mike Reiss at ESPNBoston.com:

. Lions defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, one of their top pass-rushers, is unlikely to play (shoulder),according to head coach Jim Schwartz. Running back Jahvid Best is also unlikely to play, Schwartz said.

Yeah 19-0 is unrealistic. 17-2 with SB win would be satisfying. Miami's Oline has improved, but we still haven't seen what happens to an opposing line that has to face Wilfork and Haynesworth. Also hink a more balanced offense will keep the defense off the field. This defense, on paper, should be much better on 3rd downs than last year. The key to me is the D playing better situational football.
In Response to Re: Curb your ENTHUSIASM... somewhat!! : Yes, I think Daboll is more creative, while Henning is more conservative. I actually think Henne is like a Sanchez (solid, but not spectacular), but actually better from a technical standpoint.  He lost his run game in 2010 and he lost his ability to use that to help him get better last season. Meanwhile, Sanchez, has had a top 3 run game for 2 years and a better O line. And obviosuly the D which plopped him into the playoffs. I also think Miami's O Line is vastly improved with Pouncey in there. They'll have some growing pains early, but I think Daboll is one of those good, young new era coordinators.
    Posted by RidingWithTheKing
Henne also lost his ability to make the right decisions. That is the main reason for his struggles last year. He has a stronger arm and actually more potential than Sanchez.

Did any of you just see the new episode aired last Sunday?! Him and Rosie O'donnell compete over a bisexual girl, and Larry gains an upper hand with Viagra. Then he gets caught using "performance enhancing drugs" hahahahaha.

My favorite part was the Japanese guy in the park when Larry shows him the sh*t bow and he says, "oh, he is not sorry, AT ALL. No bow is better than that bow" lol
