what I never get is why these types of deals don't get done sooner. To me this types of deals are fairly easy and you are talking min type money so I would love to be a fly on the wall and find out how much time is spent on these types of deals right before the legal tampering as opposed to the bigger type of deals like what to do with Wilforks contract, Edelman, Blount, Talib, ect..

Good point.  I agree.  Get the small stuff done and out of the way early so not taking it down to the wire with FA's.   Maybe BB likes to make them all sweat it out!

interesting. I assume the Pats kick the tires on every position. I always thought if we never noticedthe long snapper or holder, they were doing their jobs. in all the years Aiken has been here, I thought last year was his worst? I seem to recall numerous poor snaps, and "saves" of poor snaps by the holder

They don't get done sooner so BB can actually announce something during these times GMs are supposed to be doing something.

BB has painted himself into a corner with scads of poor draft choices for years. Short of trading Brady, he has no resources to bargain with.

You will see a couple of meh signings, a mediocre draft and little else. Rinse and repeat, year after year.

It's actually a sin, the way he has pissed away the Brady years.

I think overall he is a good long snapper but last year might be the reason why he only got a year to begin with. Still though (it feels like groundhog day) last year I brought up why we see such minor deals late in the exclusive period for the Pats while most teams get these minor deals out of the early and get their money situation set before legal tampering so they can work on bigger contracts up to the last minute, but it seems the Pats are happy just chunging along with no sense of urgency. Then again since they prefer the secondary market I guess they have no reason to be urgent?

Good news. Now I know they won't have to draft a LS and I won't have to throw my TV in the lake. That's a load off my mind this year anyway.

Why the f*ck are you here? This is team building time in the NFL where fans discuss how the teams they follow  are going to attack free agency and the draft. Shouldn't you be doing this with your fellow Giant fans? You are without a doubt the biggest hypocrite and fraud on this board.
