Danny Woodhead Showing the Chargers How It's Done

Ex-Patriot RB Danny Woodhead is making his mark in San Diego, and brought along a slice or two of "The Patriot Way", to boot. In last weeks' game against the Titans, the Chargers were down by three, and making a last ditch effort to get into FG range to tie the game. Woodhead caught a pass, ran for some yards, and, rather than attempt to gain some extra yardage, slid down...giving himself up to preserve time. This heady move lead to the Chargers being able to attempt a 38 yard FG, with 2 seconds left. Though the FG attempt ended up being blocked, Woodhead was heartily praised by his coach after the game, for his great situational football decision. Ahhh...the Patriot Way!: http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/sep/23/danny-woodhead-chargers-ryan-mathews-running-backs/

How can that be? Pats receivers and RBs over the last five years are not talented. They have cr@ppy careers after leaving NWE.

I'm so glad he and Welker are off this team, too much production.

The white midget offense was a nice novelty and very productive against mediocre teams but showed to be a disadvantage in the title games.  as your core offense, you are limited.

look at Denver.  Little welkie is a side show attraction with d. And j. Thomas, Decker, etc.  And yes very productive in that system.  but he's an ingredient... Not the main course.

I'm pretty sure that last post could be politically incorrect.
