If we didn't resign Welker next year I would want Bowe. The problem with Bowe is that you would have to run a lot of one TE sets, advantage is that it would really open up the field because he is a true deep threat unlike Lloyd.
However I don't see BB doing this at all. Why would KC want to give him up anyways?

I am not up on this..why Bowe? Is he in the last year of his contract? Do the Pats have something of interest to KC?

If you are gonna trade for someone, I would go after a shut down corner.

Last I checked receiver isnt the problem. Its like they have so many toys on offense Josh is having a hard time deciding what to do with them all so why add another?
CB is the primary need here. Lets go after that!!

WR Dwayne Bowe + S Abram Elam for 2013 2nd round pick + Daniel Fells
think honestly would you make that trade if you were the cheifs? NO WAY. fells is terrible, and bowe and elam are both pretty good. -

yes Bowe is in the last year of his contract and KC may be looking to move him. in his 5 year career he has 3 1,000yd seasons, 1 995yd season, and 2009 he missed 5 games. 36TD's in 5 years with garbage QB's. the guy is underrated!!! add him while we still have welker to make an unstoppable offense this year and a smooth transition into next year without wes.
i would rather trade for a top notch CB also, but what teams are looking to give up a top CB? NONE!!!
finnegan was available last year but bb was too smart for that. -

It's the defense that needs fixing, not the offense.

Same team.... I know he got a big contract a few years ago but Brandon Flowers is pretty darn good.

Exactly! It's like they are all in each others way. A shut down corner is their biggest need. -

If anything, the Pats D needs some serious retooling, not the Offense

Welker: 54 rec, 688 yards, 2 td
The Gronk: 35 rec, 434 yards, 5 td
Lloyd: 35 rec, 407 yards, 1 tdIf it ain't broken, don't fix it.
I'm not saying this O does not have problems, but talent among the receiving talents is not one of them.
It the team should trade for anyone, it should be an impact player in the secondary.

think honestly would you make that trade if you were the cheifs? NO WAY. fells is terrible, and bowe and elam are both pretty good.Bowe is a FA after the season. Miami only got 2 #2's for Marshall and he still had 3 years left on his deal. Elam will also be a FA. KC could use a blocking TE like Fells, they are a running team.
IF KC would take a deal like a 2nd (maybe they would have to include a 2014 draft pick 3rd-4th) then i think NE would be foolish not to get him. if he was on a better team for the past 5 years we would be talking about him with the andre johnsons, larry fitzgeralds, and calvin johnsons... yes, he's that good.
Would you give up that #2 if he didn't resign? Are you willing to pay Bowe Vincent Jackson money? I don't think the Pats are, not after they already signed both TE's, and still need to address the defense. -

Like I said I would much rather see the Pats go after Brandon Flowers who is a very good man to man cover corner. You would think that they may take Ras-I and a 3rd for Flowers considering the Chiefs are winning no super bowls in the next 5 years under Brady Quinn. Flowers is one of the most under rated corners in the NFL.
