    DeAngelo Hall

Hey Rust! Wasn't it just yesterday that you said the Redskins would be losing DeAngelo Hall because of salary cap hell? Geez, nobody told them that, they resigned him today...how is that possible? This "salary cap hell" stuff is scary business. I'm afraid to shut my lights off at night! Salary cap hell may be hiding under my bed...oh heavens!

I went to the doctor yesterday with what I thought was a sinus infection. Now he tells me I have a severe case of "salary cap hell"

He gives me until the end of August unless I have CSRS. Cap Space Reduction Surgery. Apparently, rehab consists of reading dead heads cap space posts over and over and over and over...

I elected to not have the procedure.

wow yet another horrible deal for a player past his prime making too much.

    4/20 oh my. that's rough.

I dont necessarily believe in cap hell, but I do believe in stupidity. which is what the Skins and Ravens just did

Typical Redskins...what a waste of money. You could have gone out and gotten two very decent CBs for a little more than they are paying MeAngelo. The guy isn't worth the money. 1-2  great plays a game is not worth the 15 he blows.

Wow... DeAngelo Hall is a key part of that Secondary.... Wait let me finish... A key part of the reason that secondary was giving up an average 2 touchdowns per game through the air and yards at will.

Skin fans... I am so sorry.  Snyder must be driving you guys crazy.

the redskins are kinda like the dallas cowboys with a sputtering offense....but overall both teams are such a huge fail every single year.

    ^^Unglued!

Just yesterday the guy was telling me how the Redskins weren't going to be able to keep Hall because they were in "salary cap hell"...now he thinks Halls sucks! lol! The "Wild Spending" Redskins are nearly 30 million UNDER the cap and rusty thinks that's a  bad thing!

This is what the phoniest person on the internet looks like folks!

Hey rust? You don't have time to figure out what you are worth financially, yet you can copy and paste comments from a Redskin's board? Brother just go to the fridge...open that carton of milk and drink...mmmm goood. That's all that vitamin D your mom didn't give you at birth...it's delicious! Isn't it?

Hey rust! care to copy and paste the Redskin's salary cap situation? Here I'll do it for you..

    ost Cap Space 2014

    1.Oakland Raiders $63m

    2.Cleveland Browns $56.9m

    3.Jacksonville $47.7m

    4.Indianapolis $33.5

    5.Miami $32.6m

    6.Minnesota $28.9m

    7.Green Bay $28.1m

    8.Washington $24.9m

    9.Cincinnati $22.7m

    10.N.Y. Jets $22.1m

    11.Philadelphia $20.7m

    12.Atlanta $19.2m

    13.Buffalo $19m

Geez 25 million under the cap...must be hell, hey rust? And this was BEFORE they saved by extending Hall who is coming off one of his best seasons at the age of 30.

Now I don't like the Redskins or Hall, but this is further proof your imaginary "salary cap hell" does NOT exists.

Here's the rest of the league's salary cap positon...

Since we're talking CBs and cap space.

Some article said both Vontae Davis and Brent Grimes will most likely be tagged if not able to be extended by their teams.

Adds more pressure to get Talib imo

Looks like Hurlie continues to dig himself a deeper hole here, embarrassing himself further, not realizing that cap space available doesn't not mean the team is not in cap hell currently with so many roster holes.

By Hurlie's measure. London Fletcher's retirement means the Skins can run out and pay a quality FA MLB 10 million per!  Yay!

    Succesful teambuilding!

My god, do I feel bad for the taxpayers who pay Hurlie's salary. They ain't getting their money's worth in that community.

Here are MLBs available right now.

I kinda see your line of thinking there but I think teams will still be in on him.

Like we said before Russ, its gonna come down to does he want the money or wins. alot of crap team will offer him something. just a matter of what he wants.

The reason that scares me though is because say we offer Talib a good deal but he walks... and Davis and Grimes are already off the market... what is our replacement at CB? thats what scares me

Same, I just think if Talib walks the secondary may suck. Porter, Grier and DRC arent answers for what we lose in Talib imo. i know the risk is there but Talib's dont grow on trees everyday.

i just hope he stays for cheap. it'll make this offseason alot easier. lock him up then worry aboout DL, OL, S

Plenty of quality CB's on the market.  I say take the money and sign Byrd.  Cover the middle of the field with a good safety and the CB position will look better.  The CB's are trying to cover too much ground in the current situation.

Russell again showing he has zero understanding of the cap.

Hall having an annual AAV of $5M means absolutely nothing. THe numbers are not released yet, but the contract will prob look like this:

    2014  base $1M  bonus $1.5M  work out bonus $1M  cap hit $3.5M

    2015 base $1m   bonus $1.5M  cap hit $2.5M

2016 base  $4m  bonus $1.5M cap hit $1.5M (Hall is released)

2017 base $5M   bonus $1.5M  cap hit $$1.5 (Hall is released)

Contract 4/$18M AAV $4.5M per year

Hall gets $9M guaranteed and is cut after 2 years and the skins suffer very minimal cap hit those 2 years

IN essence they get Hall for 2/$9M. A very favorable contract if you like the player (appears the skins do)

They can also on top of that sign Talib as they have a ton of cap space

Also, Hall was not extended, he was a free agent.

Good deal for both parties. Hall gets $9M guaranteed at 30 years old. Skins get a #2 or #3 CB for 2 years at a reasonable rate and very workable cap number

You're right, he wasn't let go this year (my bad), he was cut and brought back last year for a little over a million for a one year deal.

yes exactly. but I think Arrington sees the backside of his contract, Hall does not, which Hall is very well aware of. The key is too understand Hall is not a #1 CB and should not be paid like one, which the SKins didnt. Now Skins have to get a #1 CB to insure Hall is not exposed, which makes me nervous with Talib
