DAVIS IS LISTED AT 6'1"-TOO SHORT FOR MY MONEY, AND ALSO FOR BB'S
REQUIREMENTS. -

I'd find out what he wants and if it isn't to much I'd jump all over it. He and Mayo with McKenzie backing up would set the ILB position and allow Guyton to roam ILB and OLB. Would allow drafting a young OLB less risky if the inside spot is set -

Scouting report courtesy of ESPN:
Might be worth a look but hardly qualifies as a "stud"
Comment: Davis is a high-character, competitive player who brings excellent leadership. He is smart player who gets his teammates aligned and is quick to read the play, but his body often doesn't react and respond as quickly as his mind. He is a fearless player and never hesitates to insert versus the run or lay into a receiver coming across the middle. However, Davis isn't agile, quick or fast enough to make enough impact plays and upper-tier, pass-catching running backs and tight ends are more than he can handle. He also has marginal size when taking on centers or guards in the run game and can be engulfed. He is too slow to shed and has average overall take-on power, especially as the game goes on because he is an older player with stamina concerns. -

The stupid height requirement is only for OLB's. There's no height premium for ILB's. -

Just a reminder...Tedy Bruschi was only 6' 1". Was he to small? He was top notch. Think before you say something or worry bout some of these players size. -

So, why are the Denver Pats releasing him?? I don't get it unless they're stacked at middle. -

In this case I'm not saying "stud" because he's an all pro .. but because when he hits you ... you go down (unlike some of our current defenders) -

Could it be he was released because he isn't a 3-4 MLB?
