Did Torrey Smith pull on McCourty's face mask?

Was it my imagination or Torrey Smith did pull on McCourty's face mask as he beat him to the end zone on the sideline?  On replays, it appeared that the face mask pull lasted severl seconds (even accounting for the slow motion replay)?

Not a great performance by Patriots.  Just good enough to get to the Super Bowl with a little help from the Baltimore kicker!

    GO PATS!

He was basically dragging him by the helmet, but they aren't going to call that.  They barely call that penalty in the regular season let alone the playoffs.

The refs railed us all game long, all the missed holding calls was a joke in that game.

At least they were consistant since we held on a few plays too. The only things they called were obvious offsides and movement by the lines and ripping BJGE's helmet off.

The mentality seems to be "let them play" which typically favors the defense - that does not bode well for the Pats in the Super Bowl.  In this instance, McCourty had his head twisted by the face mask pull but McCourty didn't even think much of it to even mention it.

There was a play in the 2nd or 3rd where Flacco scampered up the left side for 20+ yards on 3rd down.  Replay clearly shows one of the most obvious holds I've ever seen.  Hand was practically up Wilfork's jersey, grabbing at the shoulderpads.

That drive went for a FG.

Yeah, that one got me too.  These days it's starting to look like they have a quota of flags that they can throw during any given game.   I'm half joking, but some of these post season calls have been terrible.  Like the Packer's fumble against the Giants that got reviewed and upheld.  Crazy.

So we b_tch when they call to many penalties and we b_tch when they don't call enough penalties.  Fickle fans.

Here's your proof. Couldn't believe no mention of it by the announcers.

Re: Did Torrey Smith pull on McCourty's face mask?

Heres the ruling according to offficial  NFL Rulebook :

     A.R. 12.86 FACEMASK—BY AND AGAINST RUNNER

First-and-10 on A45. Quarterback A1 hands off to A2, who runs around right end to the B30. During the
advance, A2 grabs defender B1 by the facemask at the B35, wrapping his fingers around the mask, and
    a) twists it; or b) controls the tackler’s head, but releases it before he turns or twists the facemask. B1
also grabs and releases A2’s facemask at the B30 during the tackle (no pulling or twisting).
Rulings: a) First-and-5 on 50. Enforcement is from the spot of the foul. (12-2-5)
    b) First-and-10 on B30. There is no foul for incidental grasping and release of the facemask,
without twisting, turning, or pulling of the mask. (12-2-5)

      So...

It should have been a 15 yard penalty enforced at the spot of the foul because T Smith never released McCourty's face mask ( and also pulled on it as he lunged for the endzone )
