    Cost of a gallon of regular gas: $0.35
    Cost of a dozen eggs: $0.62
    Cost of a gallon of milk: $1.10
    Cost of a first-class postage stamp: $0.06

    also we were deep into Vietnam, Nixon was newly elected, the US hadn't landed on the moon yet, and Brat Favre was born and he cried.....like a baby

    Guess there's no point in saving your money ... somehow I don't think the 0.5% rate the banks are offering on savings accounts is gonna catch up with all that inflation.  Thank you, Woodrow Wilson.
