The Patriots beat reporters so much have Belichik and the Patriots on such a pedestal that they are missing the biggest story of the year. There is a major rift in the Patriots locker room. Hall of Fame caliber players - on the inactive list? Offense not on the same page? Defense looking for answers? It's easy to keep everyone in line when you're 16-0. But now that you're (at least acting like) a middling team, the task of getting everyone to buy into your dogma is a bit more challenging. Come on - someone is busting at the seams waiting to spill this story - just nudge them a little.

You may rest assured that if there were such a story, there would be no keeping it secret and we would all be treated to the gory details ad nauseum.
