Do the Pats Really Need Another QB?

Let's face it Pats fans, nobody can replace Brady! I would just keep Hoyer and maybe Edelman as backup QB's on the roster. Why not save a roster space for depth on the D.
Thoughts? -

No we don't right now........We are good with two if Brady gets hurt, we can ride with Hoyer for the rest of the game and then worry about signing someone else......a third string QB spot is very overrated -

No.
Tom doesn't need a veteran mentor anymore. That day passed 2-3 years ago.
Doesn't need a veteran as a quasi- QB coach either.
A veteran as the experianced back-up? Just do without.
Edelman and Hoyer can play scout-team QB's. -

I am not normally a big fan of carrying 3 QB's on the active roster, I think it is good business to pick up another QB and place him on the practice squad. Always smart to have a QB in the system even as a Practice Squadder learning the system... -

Hoyer is special. It is now clear why O'Connell was waived. Go with two QBs, use the third QB position for another ILB: the depth there is horrible. -

Hoyer is the man in NE.If anything happens to Brady, look for Hoyer to come in a play the season out.2001-Bledsoe - 9 year pro.Brady - 1 year pro.Outcome: We faced "the greatest show on turf" and won our first SB in ever.2009-Brady - 9 year pro.Hoyer- Rookie.Outcome: Let's hope Brady doesn't get injured, but if he does let's hope for the same outcome as 2001. -

The choices for effective back-up are better right now than they will be at mid-season, but Hoyer alone may be a risk worth taking. (as stop gap to following game)
Why wasn't he drafted?? -

I think the Pats will trade with the Eagles for Feeley once Vick is fully reinstated for week 3. If that turns out to be the case, the risk is somewhat minimal; notwithstanding Brady being injured in the 1st qtr of the 1st game again... What are the odds of that happening again.
