In their search for a blocking tight end, Bears sign Steve Maneri to a two-year deal. The full press release:
The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with TE Steve Maneri on a two-year contract today.
The 6-7, 280-pound Maneri has appeared in 19 games with nine starts over two seasons (2011-12) with the Kansas City Chiefs after entering the NFL with the Houston Texans in 2010 as an undrafted free agent out of Temple University. He spent a majority of the 2010 regular season on the New England Patriots practice squad.

We signed two blocking tight end prospects that offseason, Alge Crumpler became available so they we're sent down and automatically snapped up... apparently the rest of the NFL doesn't share some of our poster's assessment of BB the GM.
