Drew Brees's consecutive games in which he tosses a TD has ended at 54. Brady is at 43. With five games left in the 2012 regular season, I think he tosses one in each game. So does he break it at week six or seven, give or take a bye, in the 2013 season?
Does Brady break the record next season?

What's Brees more upset about tonight? The loss or his TD streak being snapped?
The loss, I'm sure, but he is a very stats-aware guy. I dont like that about him
He'll probably be rooting for Miami on Sunday to shut down Brady -

Probably the 5 INT's. He now leads the leages in INT's. -

No question it's his streak that he is more upset about. Losing to the Falcons, below .500 record, very good chance the Saints miss the playoffs this seaon...that's just the icing on the cake. -

Not really, unless you mean that Brady gets hurt on the first snap of the game, injuries shouldn't be able to stop his streak. -

I'm not sure if he does. HOU and SF have a fair shot of ending that record.
We get the NFC south next season. ATL is the only decent defense in that division.
With the North next season, Baltimore and Pitt should still be at least decent.
It'll be tough. This team doesn't throw the ball 50 times a game.
Also, should they let Welker go, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Brady has trouble adjusting early in the season.

The 49ers will make that streak tough, so will the Texans.

The record would still be intact if he misses games. And Bree's is the biggest stat hore in the world. That's why I hate the guy.

Not really, that's what preseaon, training camp and OTAs are for...so you don't lose a beat. -

Yup. A few years ago, when broke the completion percentage record for a season, he admitted afterwards to knowing exactly how many passes he needed to attempt/complete in order to set the record
Never liked him after that -

Wasn't he also ticked off a Payton for not letting him break Marino's passing yardage record one year? I remember reading something about that. -

I'm not quite sure about that. You can argue, based off of targets alone, that Welker is the most integral WR to his offense than any WR. The offense should still be potent without him, but I do think this team will miss a beat. Most teams don't find their offensive identity until later in the season, regardless of how much they play in preseason, training camp, etc... May take this offense a bit longer than usual to find that identity without Welker -

Yeah, the way those Texans held the great Chad Henne to 354 yards and 4 TDs and Matthew Stafford to 441 yards and 2TDs in consecutive weeks, it's hard to see how Tom Brady might have any success. -

As long as the Pats get the W in any given game, I don't care.

Brady may break the record, but with the way the rules have changed and will continue to trend in favor of the passing game someone will probably take it to 100 games in the future.
This is a media-hyped stat more than anything.

This. The media has made the TD streak to be something akin to Dimaggio's 56-game hitting streak, some sacred piece of NFL lore that nobody ever thought would be broken. Did anybody even know what the record was before this year? -

I really don't care because it is an overrated stat IMO...however i'd like to see it just because Brees holds it (the guy strikes me as the biggest stat whoring QB in the league).
