The only team that I would worry about would be Miami since we historically play poor against them and they won in our last recent matchup.  The other teams we should be able to handle if the team can play a solid 60 minutes of honest football.

We won't meet them in any scenario except the AFCCG, girly.

We have trouble with them in Miami, but all this is pointless. We won't ever face the #6 unless they beat Denver.

In the unlikely event we were to play Miami it would be here.

    Always fear the Ravens

And Denver, in Denver, will be a challenge.

First order of business is beat Buffalo on Sunday and then see what comes the Pats way.  Any team in the playoffs will be a challenge.

Odds are it will be KC if they get the bye week.  Hopefully someone will defeat Denver, always a bad time in Denver.  With a little luck both KC and Denver will lose.  Any team is going to be tough but all can be beaten.

I think if the Pats can take care of business and beat buffalo..2nd seed is as good as first. Have a feeling Denver will get knocked off due to their D.

Re: does it really matter who gets last wild card? biggest PATs threat?

IMHO, the Pats biggest threat in the post season is themselves.  Look how they played against the Ravens.  No one, anywhere, expected a win of such proportions.  If they thought the Pats could win, most thought it would have been a squeeker.  With that said...

The Pats need HEALTH and execution throughout the playoffs.  They have both and can march all the way to MetLife Stadium, play in the SB and even win it.  If they ARE the better team, and hotter team, they can win the SB. They have the same shot as any team in the playoffs. It is not so much who the opponent is as the Pats have defeated some teams this season many did not think it would beat.  Most expected losses on the road against the Falcons and Ravens, felt the games against the Saints and Broncos at home were probable losses, yet the team won all four games.  The team may have found some interesting new parts in that Ravens game, too.  All the upcoming opponents mean to the Pats is another team in the way to achieve their goal to win the SB.  For fans, these opponents are causes for worry and hand wringing.

At home, not afraid of too many teams in the AFC.

    Away, Denver would be tough.

For SB, if they make it that far, Seattle, 49ers, and Carolina are bad matchups for Patriots

You may be right but if the Patriots could make it to the SB and it is a particularly cold or snowy day I believe that the Patriots have a good chance of winning.  Brady and the Patriots are terrific when the elements are against him.  You can't say the same for many other quarterbacks/teams.

I don't think this is right. Assuming they beat BUF and Denver beats OAK, the Pats will play the highest seed left after wild card week, which will be Cincy or Indy, unless they both lose at home. KC is the least likely because that would mean both Cincy and Indy lost.

Lets say things stay same as they are today.

    Denver/NE Bye weeks

    Wild Card WE

    #3 Bengals home against Miami

    #4 Colts home against Chiefs

Following weekend Denver plays the weakest remaing seed, we get the other.

Only the Chiefs are locked at #5

1,2,3,4 and 6 will be settled Sunday....stock up on your favorite beverage...

That is correct, Susan. One step at a time, but the path is fairly clear.

    Oh, let's go one step further..   does it really matter who the Pats play in the SB, which NFC team is their biggest threat?  Let's order the rings now!  LOL  (-;

Glad we're playing the Bills this weekend. They are going to go all out against the Pats. Need a game like this going into Play-offs. Keep their mind right. Lets face it, not a great home team in the Play-offs since 08.

Driving rain seems to be Brady's kryptonite... remember that game earlier in the year when he couldn't hold onto the ball?

As long as the Pats have homefield in Jan, I like them over any team.
