Report: Ed Reed hires agent, could precede move to sign with 49ers
Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed has hired a new agent in a move that could precede signing with the San Francisco 49ers, according to multiple reports.
Reed has hired the firm Athletes First to represent him, the NFL Network’s Albert Breer reported on Twitter. Subsequently, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported that the 49ers could end up signing Reed, citing a league source.
Reed’s new agent, David Dunn, represents plenty of potential connections on where he might end up — the firm represents 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, as well as New England Patriots stars Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez.

49'ers aren't taking their SB loss easily. They are going all in and they are going to be stacked and loaded this coming season! All I can say is the NFC is going to be tough and fun to watch with the 49'ers and Seahawks. I sure would not be feeling good right now being a Packers, Saints, Falcons or Giants fan.

Amazing how they can afford all these players other teams can't. They are stacked on defense and now aquire Boldin on offense.

Problem is that Kappernick makes less than a million which saves them alot especially since they got rid of Smith. If they land Revis it's going to be EXTREMELY tough to beat them. I still can't believe no other team would pony up a 4th or 5th round pick for Bouldin. That is shocking!

4 things come to mind
49rs are one (very likely) hit to their star QB Kaputnick away from being in trouble no matter who they sign.
You can only put 11 players on the field at a time, so let them be loaded. No guarantees in the NFL, remember our 2007 team.
They have tons of draft picks and a limited number of roster postions. Get ready to raid that practice sqaud..theres going to be a lot of wasted talent there.
With all of this going on I think Seattle might just be a bit better ..giving the 49rs a 50/50 shot at the SB at best.
