edelman will be the 4th wideout...

alot of people keep speculating that julien will be cut... i never saw this and it was pretty clear last night that he was the best player on the field, has a nack to make people miss and will have a big role on this team...

He was one of the best players on the field (on the Pats side, that is).  I think he may have secured a position, at least for his punt return skills.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him on kick off returns too, especially if teams do what Detroit did and kick short to try to force a return.

Welker, Branch, Ocho, Price, Edelman, Slater.

If Ocho gets cut we carry 4 TEs, and Hernandez is fills the gap.

Re: edelman will be the 4th wideout...

Edelman continues to be a good returner.  Last night he got himself an exciting trip to the 35 from the endzone, and I was hoping he'd break it.  Just because Ghost can put the ball out of the endzone all day doesn't mean that the other 31 teams can do it also, especially as the weather grows cold.

Edelman does Welker-like cuts for a living, and may some year supplant his master.  This is Edelman's third year.  Excellent seventh round pick.

I was leaning that way (I just don't think he'll be a receiver...returner? No doubt). He's a good backup and if you cut him, he ends up with the Jets and will turn into a a Woodhead situation. Tate is as good as gone.

He changed my mind last night.  The kid was one of the few bright spots last night.

5th, only in Edelman's dreams will he ever be a better WR than Price.

Price is 4th, maybe even third because I think he's a better WR than Branch. Only time will tell.

Slater will be cut becasue of the new rules gunners and kick off specialist are not in high demand this year... I hope they change the rules back next year... these rules are horrible

    WR Depth Branch, Ocho, Price
Slot Depth Welker, Edleman and Slot hybrid Hernandez

    6 wide receivers
    3 TEs

Slater will lose his spot becasue of the injuries at MLB and the questions @ DB.

Re: edelman will be the 4th wideout...

As good a game as he had last night, he got hurt again. It is a given that this guy will get injured every time he sees any meaningful action (death, taxes, Edelman will get hurt). If I were him, I'd hide the injury just so I wouldn't have to have the coaches see me dinged up again, it's got to be a consideration if you keep this guy or not.
