Dear Underdogg, My intent was to inform not attack. However, since you choose to do the latter, allow me to respond accordingly. Before I continue, tell "Sweet Polly Purebred" and "Shoeshine Boy" to cover their ears because not everyone can handle the "TRUTH". Your correct in one aspect, I am a Patriots fan. However, I'm a FOOTBALL fan first. I'm not so myopic that I can't see the forrest due to the trees. I've been a football fan since the late 60's. Some of my initial exposure was to the Minnesota Vikings. Former Viking WR John Gilliam is my cousin. I have been a Viking fan also for years. My spouse is from MN and we've been to numerous camps. I have extensive knowledge about Randy Moss that the average Patriots fan does not. However, as a true football fan, I choose to evaluate the entire picture. Even though I provided you with factual documentation, you still spewed forth inaccurate nonsense. Randy's most prolific years and team success were under Denny Green. Media and team backlash began with Mike Tice's voicing of the "Randy Ratio". Oakland was in the Superbowl under the direction of Jon Gruden and were quarterbacked by NFL MVP Rich Gannon. Both were long gone prior to Moss's arrival in Oakland. Fans must really get the notion that because players make an obscene amount of money that this makes them less human. For example, if you are a garbage man "underdogg" and Garbage Gobbler Mgmt is constantly sending you on your route with faulty equipment, you're gonna get upset. Week after week you can't complete your duties because of not being properly equipped, is going to get you pi**ed off. In the best of all world's, we'd simply smile and continue on our route. But "garbage gobblin' " and the NFL are totally different. For the pay, these guys pay a severe physical price for that pay and your enjoyment, so don't begrudge them the monetary compensation. Injuries being part of the game is 100% correct, that's why I made note of the fact. Despite those injuries, he played and produced. When he wasn't making plays, he provided the ultimate decoy for team to produce in other facets of the game. Finally, as a Pats fan, based on the slant of a significant amount of posts, aren't we supposed to uplift OUR players (which I was), not tear them down... Just a thought!

I apologize for my inaccuracies. Particularly Mike Tice.
As for the Human aspect of Randy, I have no problem with him, under normal circumstances most Pats fans would (unless, of course, he was a pat), because NE is a team first, individual second, kind of team, and Randy did not find that particular religion until he became a pat. Makes me think Pats fans would somehow wholeheartedly embrace Jay Cutler if the team picked him up (and if you did not have brady).
Anyway - Moss' omission from this opinion (list), I put squarely on the fact that he was labelled prior to his coming to New England, because a decoy who admittedly takes plays off is not always a very good decoy.
